Frustrated with how we look and feel, we often seek extreme changes, eager to reverse years of poor choices. The problem?

These extremes are rarely sustainable, and we soon find ourselves right back where we started, feeling even more defeated.

The truth is, health is like building a skyscraper—you can’t rush the foundation without jeopardizing the entire structure.

Sure, you might see quick results, but without a solid base, everything will eventually collapse.

The same applies to your health.

The best plan isn't the one that promises the fastest results; it’s the one you're still following five years from now.

Start with small, manageable changes.

Take a 30-minute walk, drink 100 ounces of water, have Greek yogurt for breakfast, or avoid using your phone in bed.

Once these feel easy, build on them.

Some things simply take time!

If you want to boost your energy and feel more awake, it’s essential to move more.

Start with simple activities that you enjoy, such as a light morning walk or stretching.

It doesn’t have to be intense; it just needs to be consistent.

The more we stay sedentary, whether on the couch, behind a desk, or in the car, the less energy we tend to have.

Movement improves circulation and releases endorphins, leaving you feeling more awake and lively.

Almost 9 years ago, I made the toughest decision of my life

It was hard to see at the time

But giving up alcohol gave me my life back

This is for anyone who’s struggling with the idea of quitting

But finds themselves regretting the decision to keep going.

At the time, I thought I was giving up all the fun in life

Because, for me, every social event

And every good time was tied to alcohol

I was the friend who always wanted to drink

I didn’t know how to have fun without it

But after years of bad decisions

And waking up with no memory of the night before

I realized that continuing down that path

Was a risk I was no longer willing to take

Because, I wasn’t sure where I’d end up if I kept going

The potential reward no longer seemed worth it

Looking back, quitting drinking

Was the single best decision I’ve ever made

Life without it isn’t just better—it’s real

Now, I’m actually able to enjoy every event

Instead of blacking out before it even begins

I enjoy my weekends a lot more now
But this was impossible for me to see 9 years ago

Sometimes the most incredible outcomes

Are hidden on the other side of tough decisions

The people we surround ourselves with

Have a profound impact on our habits

And, ultimately, our lives

Our social circles subtly influence our daily routines

Whether it’s our eating habits

Exercise routines, or even how we approach stress

If you’re struggling with your health

There’s a strong probability

That those around you are struggling as well

To make meaningful changes

The easiest way is to surround yourself

With others who have similar goals

Invite your spouse, friends, or co-workers

To join you on your health journey

If no one in your circle is ready

Seek new environments

Whether it’s a group fitness class

An online community

Or a coach who can guide and support you

Change is hard

But it becomes easier when you're not doing it alone

Surround yourself with the right people

And you’ll be more likely to succeed

The best program isn’t the one that gets you the fastest results

It’s the one you’re still doing years from now

Stop rushing into drastic changes that never last

Instead, find something that works for you

Research from the Mayo Clinic

Shows that the Average American

Takes approx. 3,000 - 4,000 steps a day

A 30mins walk is 3,000 - 5,000 steps

Which means most Americans can DOUBLE their activity

Plus a whole host of added benefits

Just by adding a short walk to their day

Don’t feel pressured to overhaul your entire life

When you decide to get healthy

You’ve most likely tried that

And seen that it rarely works

Start simple, stay consistent and build confidence

Once you stick the basics

You’ll be ready to take on more in the future.

If you want to change, stop waiting for tomorrow. Conditions will never be perfect, and today’s problems won’t vanish with tomorrow.

You’re not too old, you’re not too busy and its not your genetics

You just have to slow down, start small and embrace consistency

Stop being in a rush to get fit. Health isn’t a race

The goal is to be consistency

When we try to overhaul of lives, in an effort to get healthy

We’re setting ourselves up for failure

Too much change, too fast, leads to burnout

I get it, I’ve been there

In my early 20’s I drank heavily, ate like crap and exercised sparingly

I jumped from fad diets to intense workouts, hoping for quick results

Every time, I’d quit after a week. It was too overwhelming

After many failed attempts

I realized my problem:

I was prioritizing speed over consistency

I wanted to change, but I was going about it all wrong.

When I slowed down and focused on small, sustainable changes

Everything shifted

I could stick with it, and that gave me confidence

Small wins turned into bigger successes

And I ended up achieving more than I ever thought possible

The key? Small, manageable changes and consistency

If you're struggling with your health goals

Try this: Start with a small manageable change

Track your progress daily

Once you hit 7 days in a row

Add another small manageable change

It’s not about doing everything at once

It’s about sticking with it for the long run

Overhauling your life might feel productive

But if you quit after a month, what’s the point?

Focus on your goals not the outcome!

08/05/2024

If your primary goal is to lose weight, Ive found focusing on your nutrition first will help you achieve that goal faster

If you want to add some exercise, start with a 30-minute walk first thing every morning

This is one of the most underrated forms of exercise

My clients typically lose 7-9 lbs in the first 4 weeks just by:

• Walking 30 minutes every morning
• Having a protein-only breakfast (this looks different for everyone, but eggs or a protein shake are usually the easiest options, EASY IS THE GOAL AT THE BEGINNING)

You want the beginning to feel so easy it barely feels like you’re trying.

Once you start seeing rewards for your actions, adding some quick workouts will be much easier

But again, start small and build

If you're in a rush to get fit and healthy, you’re going to try to do too much too soon

I’ve found this just increase your chances of quitting and never reaching your goal
