As a former people pleaser…
I’ve been able to identify people pleasing as toxic.
We’re conditioned early on to satisfy others needs even if it’s an inconvenience. We’re taught to share, to make space, and make others happy. Even if that leaves us feeling empty and lonely.
That’s not to say we shouldn’t be kind to others but it’s important to have boundaries. You have the right to say “No”, you don’t have to always make yourself available, and it’s okay to look out for yourself before you look out for the next.
Boundary setting is a great way to balance out people pleasing. If you’re ready to start prioritizing yourself & stop people pleasing comment “Confidence”
