Just to Be Clear...
All of my life, I took a bit of pride in the fact that I had a pretty diverse group of friends. My best friend in high school was gay, although he did not come out [even to me!] until many years later. When I was four years old, my best friend in my apartment complex was the little black boy that li...

When you were a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up?
When I look at this question, I wonder if other people had a choice when deciding what they "want" to be. For me, there was no "want" in it. It was more like; What do you "have" to be/"Get" to be when you grow up, for me. I knew from a very young age that I was only really good at one thing. Sure, I could do other things, but music & performance were the only things that came naturally and easy to me and were certainly the most fulfilling things in my life. I personally feel that our "calling" in life is made clear to us by God. He uses things like Depression and misery to show us that we're not doing what we are suppose to be doing in life. On the contrary, he uses happiness & contentment to make us sure of our decision to pursue what we were meant to. I have truly enjoyed every single day of work that has been related to music, acting, and the performing arts. I am beyond blessed that I was able to pursue these things in college and since have been able to make a career out of them. God rewards those who trust the signals that he provides.
