Despite a little game delay, our first Educators’ Night at the Ball Field was a success! Our softball players selected their most impactful teachers to join them on the field during the lineup announcements on Friday night before they took on Hopkinsville. Mr. Clark, WCHS Choir Director, sung the National Anthem beautifully before the game, and Ms. Rickman, WCHS Assistant Principal, threw out our ceremonial first pitch. The Lady Dragons wish to recognize ALL educators for their inspiration and dedication. We appreciate you!
The Lady Dragons went on to win 12-2 over Hopkinsville, led by great pitching from McKenzie Rose who struck out 9 and walked 0. Rose, Shyanne Pasley, and Parker Hawks all had two hits to lead the Lady Dragons. Charlee Bailey paced the Dragons with 3 walks.
The Lady Dragons travel to Metcalfe County on Monday for a varsity double header.
