Navy polos, khakis, hairnets, aprons. Same for everyone on this floor, founders included.

I’ve held big titles. Director. CEO. Owner. None of them matter in a production kitchen. What matters is clean hands, covered hair, and doing it right, every single batch.

Polo azul marino, pantalón caqui, malla en el pelo y delantal. Igual para todos en esta cocina, incluyendo a los fundadores.

He tenido títulos grandes. Directora. CEO. Dueña. En una cocina de producción ninguno importa. Lo que importa son manos limpias, el pelo cubierto y hacer el trabajo bien, en cada lote.

One day we’ll be old, sitting somewhere like this, watching another sunset. I don’t want to say “we were busy.” I want to say “what a magnificent life we lived.”
The sunsets we stopped for. The risks we took. The people we held onto.
Life isn’t measured by how much we got done. It’s measured by how much we actually lived.

Algún día seremos viejos, sentados en un lugar como este, viendo otro atardecer. No quiero decir “estuvimos ocupados.” Quiero decir “qué vida tan magnífica vivimos.”
Los atardeceres por los que nos detuvimos. Los riesgos que tomamos. Las personas que no soltamos.
La vida no se mide por lo que logramos hacer, sino por lo mucho que realmente vivimos.

I talk a lot about transformation. This time, I’m not going to tell you about it. I’m going to show you. 🎥

Six months ago I retired from a 30+ year corporate career. Today I’m standing in a warehouse that’s becoming a factory. Concrete, wires, permits, plumbing, and a vision nobody else could see yet.

Some people didn’t get it. Some people still don’t. And that’s okay.

It’s okay to change careers.
It’s okay to start over at any age.
It’s okay to build something no one asked you to build.
It’s okay to stop explaining yourself.

Transformation isn’t something you say. It’s something you do, one wall, one wire, one decision at a time. 🔨

Hace seis meses me retiré después de 30+ años en el mundo corporativo. Hoy estoy parada en un almacén vacío que se está convirtiendo en una fábrica. Concreto, cables, permisos, plomería y una visión que nadie más podía ver todavía.

Algunos no lo entendieron. Algunos todavía no lo entienden. Y está bien.

Está bien cambiar de carrera.
Está bien empezar de nuevo a cualquier edad.
Está bien construir algo que nadie te pidió.
Está bien dejar de dar explicaciones.

La transformación no se dice. Se hace, una pared, un cable, una decisión a la vez. 🔨

Dormí en un colchón en el suelo cuando llegué a Boston. No tenía refrigerador.

No les cuento esto para inspiración fácil. Se los cuento porque es verdad.

Fui inmigrante. Empecé de cero. Me aplazaron inglés en Venezuela y terminé siendo intérprete trilingüe certificada en Estados Unidos.

Tu pasado no dicta tu futuro. Tu mentalidad, sí.

A cartwheel on a soccer field had shifted a vertebra and herniated multiple discs. I needed surgery. Doctors said recovery would take at least six months. There was a real risk I might never walk again.

So I did physical therapy three times a day instead of once. Morning, noon, evening. I was obsessed.

I recovered far faster than anyone expected.

Resilience is a muscle. The more you work it, the stronger it gets.

The setback wasn’t the story. What I did after it… that was the story!

Whatever floor you’ve found yourself on right now, you’re allowed to decide this isn’t the end.
