Another set of "Book End" TRAD Bear Coin Money Clips out the door to a satisfied customer.

Made from the coin section of a '67-1/2 Super Kodiak riser (the original 'Black Beauty'), with the original coin intact, and the "Book End" side, which was the sight window portion of the riser directly opposite of the coin, with the poundage number still in place where it would have been under the strike plate. Bear coin that was added was an original, from another '67-1/2 Super Kodiak.

Another T.R.A.D. Bolo Tie out the door to a soon-to-be-happy customer. (Y)

'73 Kodiak Hunter Blue Stripe, 60" 60 #, Futurewood riser, SN: KT63707.

The original bow would have had a chrome-plated Standing Bear Button. Client wanted (and provided) an original Aluminum Standing Bear coin, which I flush-mounted like the pre-'73 Bear bows.

Another T.R.A.D. Bolo Tie out the door to a soon-to-be-happy customer. (Y)

'59 Kodiak, 60" 55 #, Rosewood / Purple Heart riser, SN: Unknown, with original Copper coin.

This bolo tie was cut out of the riser of a non-repairable '59 Kodiak, with the original coin intact. SN unknown because at some point in time, someone tried to refinish the bow and sanded away most of the AMO info and SN. I was able to discern the length and weight with a magnifying glass, but nothing else.

It was an honor and a privilege to contribute to the 50th Anniversary of the Archery Hall of Fame by designing and making the Bolo Ties given to the living Inductees at the 31st Induction Ceremony held in Springfield, MO this past Saturday, May 21, 2022.

Traditional Recurve Art & Design (TRAD) is proud to announce my new design with a limited run of 10. First come, first serve. More available once my supplier can replenish his stock of blade blanks.

In collaboration with Barry Retcher and Outlaw Outdoor Products, who will provide the sheaths, I am pleased to present the TRAD Standing Bear Coin Knife.

Hand cut, shaped, and fitted Whitetail Deer antler scales, with a flush-mounted brass Standing Bear coin (3 Rivers reproduction), brass pins through the full tang and peened, with a 440C stainless steel 3” drop point blade that is razor sharp and will hold a great edge. Fitted to an Outlaw Outdoor Products wax oil tanned leather sheath with a bear stamp. Add your initials for an extra $10.

Overall knife length: 6-1/4”
Overall knife weight: 3.85 ounces
Overall sheath length: 7.00”
Overall sheath weight: 1.07 ounces
Total weight knife and sheath: 4.45 ounces

Each set of antler scales are unique and will vary from the antler scales in these pictures, but all are North American Whitetail Deer. The Bear coin orientation will always be set at the end of the handle as shown, horizontal to the blade edge, but it can be rotated 90 degrees on request (at no charge) so it is perpendicular to the blade edge instead of horizontal.

Knife and sheath with bear stamp but no initials: $115 TYD, U.S. & Canada only. All other locations pay actual cost of shipping and any customs fees.

Knife and sheath with bear stamp and up to 3 initials: $125 TYD, U.S. & Canada only. All other locations pay actual cost of shipping and any customs fees.

IM me if you are interested. PayPal Friends & Family, Venmo, Check or M/O. 2-3 weeks to ship from receipt of payment.
