Finish strong! The Pilates Push-Up differs from a regular push-up by emphasizing controlled and precise movements. In Pilates, the focus is on engaging the core and maintaining proper alignment, resulting in a more deliberate and challenging exercise that targets not only the upper body, but also enhances overall body awareness and control. In Pilates, we also typically start and end from a standing position for the full ex*****on of the exercise.

The name is slightly deceiving with today's Pilates movement - the Thigh Stretch. While it does provide a stretch to the front of the thighs, or the quadriceps, you have to actively engage the entire posterior chain as you flow through the movement!
