About the Founder of Arise:

Karrie brings over 13 years of dance teaching experience and a lifelong passion for Dance. Raised in the Midwest, she trained extensively at the renowned Larkin Dance Studio & became Captain of her high school dance team, starting her foundation in both technical training & leadership

She studied kinesiology and dance at the University of Wisconsin–Eau Claire and Minnesota State University, Mankato, where she performed on collegiate dance teams and was a company member on a dance company. She has directed & choreographed a recital with over 15 college company members; performing & choreographing a variety of dance styles .

After moving to Florida 16 years ago, Karrie spent 7 years teaching at a local dance studio while also leading classes through community centers and church programs. She currently leads a dance group through her church, combining artistry, encouragement, and Christ Centered Worship.

In addition, Karrie is a mother of three and a business owner on Anna Maria Island. She is passionate about creating a positive, uplifting environment where dancers can feel inspired to Arise & Shine! She's excited to help her students grow in confidence, character, and skill all while using these things for a great purpose!
