Some progress can't be measured in trophies. And some lessons can't be taught. 🏁🧡💙
In mid-January, Jack climbed into his Outlaw Youth SxS for the first time. Until then, he'd only ever raced a Hisun Strike 250.
It was a HUGE leap, and this season has tested him in ways we never imagined.
He's rolled. He's wrecked. He's finished in the back. He's tasted failure and felt what it's like to want to throw in the towel.
But he NEVER quit.
And this past weekend, we saw just how much those hard lessons have paid off. 🔥
Saturday, Jack took 2nd overall, winning Moto 1 and finishing 2nd in Moto 2 behind a fast, seasoned driver.
Sunday was a complete MUD FEST. 🫠 After struggling through Pro AM NA and finishing 3rd in Youth 1K Moto 1, we discovered a cracked wheel bearing carrier.
No replacement. No real fix.
The plan was simple: piece it back together, take it easy, and just FINISH Youth 1K Moto 2.
But the boys decided they weren't going down without a fight. 🤘
And Jack went out and laid down his FASTEST lap EVER.
1:12.87. 🤯🔥
On his VERY LAST lap. With a compromised wheel bearing carrier. And only a second slower than the Pro NA drivers!
I was jumping up and down watching his lap times drop, but when that final lap popped up on my phone, I about LOST IT. 🤣
Because we've seen what it took to get here. Every wreck. Every disappointing finish. Every moment of self-doubt. Every time he picked himself up and tried again.
THIS is why you don't quit when things get hard.
Does he need consistency? ABSOLUTELY. 🤣 But he's only 11 YEARS OLD, less than a year into this car, and already showing flashes of something pretty special.
We may be biased, but the speed is there. The talent is there. And the HEART has never been in question.
We're proud of the lap times, but we're even prouder of the kid he's becoming along the way.
