Ashley Lynn

Ashley Lynn Hey Hey Welcome to My Page! My parents booked a trip for my entire family to South Africa to celebrate their 30th anniversary. Say whaaaaat?! My thoughts exactly.

I’m re-starting up this page as there was apparently a glitch that affected my other page that I’ve been growing for the last 5.5 years so now you can follow me here. 🤗

A lil introduction for ya…

I’m just your average girl who wanted more out of life…

I hated being told that I could only have 10 days of vacation per year and knew that there was more to life than sitting at a cubicle all day till I was 65 counting down the hours till I could leave. So, I decided to do something about it.

5.5 years ago the company I was working at had an “unlimited vacation policy” 🙄 (or so I thought). I asked my boss if I could go, and he said if I went on that trip I’d be fired. So I left that job, went on that trip and the rest is history. I started an online business shortly thereafter and have been traveling the world ever since. I’ve never had to go back to Corporate America, AND after only a year into starting my biz, I retired my now fiancé from corporate life as well. In early 2018, we moved out of our apartment packed all our stuff into storage, and left to travel the world full-time. Since then, we’ve been to over 45 countries 🌎 together, built a multiple 7 figure business, and get to wake up and live each day as we choose.

& the best part? We teach others to do the same! I’ve mentored people on how to do everything from starting up a side hustle, to going full-time online, to be able to leave their jobs, travel the world, make multiple 5 figure months, live in an RV, do van life, earn their worth, etc. It’s my mission to help you become free in all senses of the word - time, location, financial, lifestyle freedom and so much more.

& to Educate and Empower women to know that there are countless ways to thrive outside of the 9-5 route and help develop their true potential. To show people who know there is more than just following the “traditional” career path, or are feeling uninspired in their current jobs that there ARE other avenues out there! That you can work from a laptop on an island, live a fulfilling life, and not feel bad about it 😉. That there is a world out there where you can take your skills and your passions, and create a business around them. Through my experiences and coaching, I want to help you build a Successful Online Business that will ultimately allow you to rid your limiting beliefs, create a lifestyle by your own design, and truly LIVE a Life Outside The 9-5! 👌🏻

If this sounds like you at all and/or If you want to see more of my adventures, learn more about how to start a biz online, learn some amazing mindset tips & tricks, how to work from anywhere (even if it’s just your pj's in bed) then give this page a Like 👍🏻

Alright, show of hands, who’s ever spiraled out over a text?? 🙋🏼‍♀️

It plays out something like this...

You get the text, and all of a sudden it’s like the world had halted to a stop. You create a whole story in your mind about what they must mean, why they responded that way, whether something’s wrong, what you did, what you should reply with…

And before you know it, you’ve written, directed, and the person that text you has starred in an entire movie they don’t even know they’re in. 😂

Hello psychological thriller.

Over a freaking two word text non the less! 🙈 Trust me, I get it, not my proudest moments.

But to your defense, most of us have learned to stay safe by paying close attention to other people’s moods, reactions, or approval…giving your brain a very good reason for this, let’s just call it, slight...overreaction. lol

So cut your brain some slack, it’s trying to protect you ;)

Quick little nugget of advice, coming from someone who’s thoroughly put this practice to the test - the next time you’re about to take a two-word text six ways to Sunday, pause and ask yourself...

What do I actually know?
And what am I making this mean? 🤔

Because those are often two VERY different things.

The text is the text, plain and simple...
“Fine. Whatever.”
“Never mind.”
“Love you.”
“Sounds good.”

The story is where the spiral begins.

And that little distinction might save you three hours of trying to solve a problem you don’t even know exists.

P.S. Let me know 👇 if this has ever happened to you, bc let’s be real, we all know it has.

Joining in on all these Burning Man posts popping up all over my feed 🔥🥹

Bc I’d be lying if I didn’t say I had just a smidge of fomo. But I know I’ll be back again someday.

Since my first burn in 2014, it’s held a special place in my heart for so many reasons…

Not only for catching amazing sunrises, chasing art cars, exploring all of the camps and art on the playa, the connections you make…getting caught up in dust storms in the deep playa and discovering the best dance parties, random full-service movie theaters, or somehow finding a random dude making burritos in deep playa when you’d just been talking about how hungry you were. 🙌🏻

But my favorite of all might be that it’s a place of full permission.

Permission to express, to create, to connect, to be weird, to be whoever you want to be. It’s a place where people bring ALL of themselves.

Where so many of the masks come off and the usual “shoulds” and rules about who we’re supposed to be seem to disappear with the default world. And you get to witness what happens when humans give themselves the freedom to fully express. People are more open, more generous, more kind, & SO creative.

I’m always in awe of what the human mind can create when it isn’t trying to follow the restraints of society or make sure it looks “normal.”

The art. The outfits. The experiences. The conversations. The completely absurd ideas someone had and then actually decided to bring to life. There’s something so alive about it. I think part of that aliveness comes from getting to put down, even temporarily, so much of who we’ve learned we’re supposed to be...and seeing what wants to come out when allow ourselves to be more of who we truly are.

They say people “come home” to the playa.

But I think the real magic is that somewhere along the way, people come home to themselves.

"I'm just so tired of watching myself and every single other woman tie herself into knots so that people will like us." - Barbie

Me too, Barbie. Me too.

Society trained so many of us into being "The Good Girl." The girl that doesn't ruffle any feathers, or overly upset anyone, the one that's never too needy, loud, direct, or "too much."

We think..."as long as I stay in line, I'll be safe, connected, and loved."

And if you're selfish? If you take up too much space? If you have needs, opinions, boundaries, desires?
Somehow that makes you bad. 🤷🏼‍♀️

So we segment ourselves. We put ourselves in a box. We start seeking outside of ourselves for proof that we're OK, self-abandoning along the way, scanning people's tones, responses, facial expressions, and moods for evidence that we're still safe, liked, and loved.

Damn. I guess Barbie was right.
Kinda intense to be a woman, huh?

You may think you're just considerate. Conflict-avoidant. A people pleaser. Nice. Someone who doesn't need much. That's not the full picture tho. Underneath it is a survival pattern so ingrained in your nervous system that you've started to believe it's your personality instead of something you learned. 😯

AKA, The Good Girl.
Still one of my main survival patterns.

I learned that in order to get love & stay in connection, I had to be good, whatever that even meant.

I used to call myself a chameleon, like it was cute. Like it meant I was adaptable and easy to be around. But secretly, I was constantly checking the room to decide how much of me was allowed.

And it still shows up for me in different areas of my life, even now.

If you've ever rewritten a text 5X so it didn't sound rude, felt weird when someone didn't respond enthusiastically, said yes even when your body is like He!! No, or adjusted your entire personality depending on the room…

This webinar is 💯 for you.

Last week I hosted "Understanding & Unraveling the Good Girl” - a training covering how this pattern forms, how it lives in the nervous system, what it costs us, and how to begin reclaiming the full spectrum of you, the Nourished Woman underneath the Good Girl.

Comment GOOD GIRL 👇 and I'll send you the replay.

As someone who can sometimes struggle to fully celebrate herself, I’m taking the layup of my birthday as a full permission slip to do exactly that :)

In true Leo fashion, here’s a lil birthday week recap. 🦁✨

This past week was so special...

We kicked things off with going to see Empire of the Sun at Red Rocks last Tuesday night, awesome show! Then the next day on my actual birthday, I spent the day with my family who came to visit. We checked out a small nearby mountain town, then went out to dinner together.

Then on Sunday, (if you saw my last post then you already know) my hubby surprised me with a little mountain getaway for a few nights.🥹

It was simple, sweet, and so deeply nourishing.

Feeling very loved, deeply grateful, and excited for the year ahead. I truly believe that as we grow and gain more wisdom each year…life really does get better and better. 🤍

Thank you to everyone who reached out and made me feel celebrated. I’m letting it all in :)

“You have one hour to pack. We’re going on an adventure. We’ll be back home Wednesday morning.”

Sunday morning my husband handed me a folded note with that 👆🏻 written on it. I stared at him like, “Wait…what?!” 😮

A few minutes later there I was, in complete shock, throwing random things into a suitcase, still having no idea where we were going. As I was packing (naturally overpacking), I caught myself running through all the things I had planned to do this week.

Then I had this moment of, “Wow, how amazing is it that we have this kind of freedom?”

Not just the freedom to travel or to make our own schedules, but the freedom to actually let ourselves say yes to life when it shows up.

In the past month alone, we’ve been in NY, spent two weeks in Spain, had my parents here in CO for four days, and now this little surprise bday trip.

Next week, we’re back in NY to celebrate my brother’s 30th at a beach house.

And I just keep thinking…
Wow. What a life. 🤗
It truly never gets old.
I remember when I used to dream about this.

And the thing is, I want this for you too.
Not necessarily my exact version of it.

But this kind of freedom, the space to choose, the spaciousness to be with the people you love, the ability to put down the endless to-do list and finally let the juiciness of life in, and the capacity to take in the life you’ve worked so hard to build.

Bc sometimes we say we want more freedom, but then when space opens up, we fill it immediately (guilty 🙋‍♀️) with more work, more obligations, more “I’ll just quickly do this first,” more proving we deserve the life we already said we wanted. You know how it goes.

Which is something we don’t always talk about…

It’s one thing to create more freedom. It’s another to actually let yourself have it.
To close the laptop, let the list wait, choose adventure, let life be good.

Freedom isn’t just about the calendar. It’s about whether you can receive the spaciousness without immediately trying to earn it again.

So my question for you is...where in life are you asking for more freedom, but not fully letting in what’s right in front of you?

Here’s to letting life get even better than we planned. 🥂🤍

What…like it’s hard?! 🤪

As you know, travel is such a big part of our lives, and at only 14 months old and over 20 flights in, Caiden is well on his way to becoming a seasoned world traveler.

It was amazing bringing baby C on his first big adventure, but not gonna lie, traveling with a little one certainly has its challenges. Cam & I have def had to adjust how we travel.

Listen in 👆🏻 to hear how the trip went and a few adjustments we’ve had to make since traveling as a family.

Spain recap 🇪🇸

Between endlessly stuffing our faces with tapas, sipping tinto de verano 🍷, Baby C’s obsession with olives, wandering narrow alleyways, hopping on train after train, & dusting off my Español, Cam & I even managed to sneak away a few times for a some much needed mommy & daddy date nights.

Our first full-on, international travel-style trip with our baby in one of our fave countries. Such an amazing trip, truly one for the books.

It was really important to me to be as present as possible. To actually soak it all in, rather than look back at a 2 week whirlwind that felt like a blur.

If you know anything about my story, you know travel was my life. After 7 years of traveling to 70+ countries, a decent chunk of that time, was spent physically in these incredible places while my mind was a million miles away.

So savoring each moment feels especially important to me now.

Not to mention, traveling with a 1 y/o, plus my parents, who came along to help is full on. I went into this trip with grand plans to write emails, record videos, & create a webinar.

And yeah, that didn’t happen.🫤

Outside of editing my podcast, & posting the occasional story, I didn’t have the time or capacity.

The familiar “I should be doing xyz…”thoughts came up, but I nipped them in the bud pretty quickly.

As a family with a 1 y/o, running a biz w/o a sitter or family nearby, this time away was essential for my nourishment & I’ve built my biz in a way that allows me to step back, be present, & trust that both my biz & this community will be okay.

So that’s what I did.

Never underestimate the power of a recharge. Stepping away can bring you back to yourself - with more clarity, creativity, energy, & presence.

One of the key principles I teach is agency: honoring that you get to have a say in your own life. You get to make choices based on your capacity, needs, values, & season, rather than constantly overriding yourself to meet an expectation.

That doesn’t mean dropping the ball, just not overextending or abandoning yourself in the process.

I hope to model this for you & that this gives you permission to honor your capacity & savor the life you’ve created, too. ❤️
