Resiliency not enough as Heritage baseball falls to De La Salle in NCS playoff opener In the bottom of the fifth inning, Heritage catcher Tyler Williams caught a ball thrown from third to home plate before reaching out to tag De La Salle’s Brandon Vargas

Tough way to end it, but the Patriots battled until the final out.

The Patriots battled back with a huge 6-run 7th inning and finished with 14 hits, but fell 11-10 to De La Salle on a walk-off in Round 1 of the NCS Playoffs.

Highlights:
• JZ McArthur: 3-for-3, 3 RBI
• Logan Nelson: HR, 2-for-4
• Ryder Walker: 2 hits, 2 runs, RBI
• Austin Kralj: 2 hits, RBI, 2 SB
• Tyler Williams: clutch 2-RBI double in the 7th
