Today we celebrate more than just another year, we celebrate a leader, mentor, and role model who pours so much into our athletes, families, and program. Your dedication, passion, and commitment to developing young men both on and off the field have made a lasting impact on so many lives.

Thank you for the countless hours, the lessons taught, the standards you set, and the belief you instill in every player who wears a Bulldogs jersey. The culture you’ve built is one of accountability, perseverance, character, and family, qualities that extend far beyond the game of football.

How is a coach supposed to recruit you if they don’t know who you are first?

Adams State football camps are right around the corner. If you want to stand out, you have to do the work before you even step on the field.

Here are 3 things you must do before camp to get on a coach's radar:

1. Clean up your X profile. College coaches live on X (Twitter). Clean up your page. Put your position, class year, GPA, and a link to your film right in your bio.

2. Update your film. Refresh your highlight reel. Put your best 10 to 15 plays at the very beginning. Coaches make decisions fast, so lead with your best stuff.

3. Send a direct message. Do not wait for them to find you. Follow the coaches and send a direct message. Introduce yourself, state your high school, and link your film.

Opportunities are earned. Take ownership of your recruiting process today.

At Brighton, we teach our players that how you do anything is how you do everything. Today, we are honored to recognize senior James Powers for achieving the highest academic distinction of Summa Cum Laude.

James maintained an elite cumulative GPA of 4.2+, a feat that requires a level of discipline and consistency that few ever reach.

James has proven that he understands the core of our program: details define champions. Next year James will be attending the prestigious Colorado School of Mines to study engineering.

Will maintained a cumulative GPA between 4.0 and 4.199. This achievement is a direct result of the discipline and consistency he brings to every aspect of his life.

True leadership is about setting the standard when no one is watching. Will paid the entry fee every single day, proving that he understands what it means to do things the right way. He has left a lasting mark on this program and serves as a blueprint for our younger players on how to be a true student athlete.

At Brighton, we do not just develop athletes; we develop leaders who understand that how you do anything is how you do everything. Today, we are celebrating senior Nui Baker for achieving the elite status of Magna Cum Laude.

Nui maintained a cumulative GPA between 4.0 and 4.199, proving that "doing it right" extends far beyond the yard markers.

True discipline is not a part-time commitment. It is the grit to stay focused when the lights are off and the bleachers are empty. Nui paid the entry fee every single day in the classroom, and he has set a powerful example for every young player in our locker room of what a Brighton Bulldog should be.

Next year, Nui will be attending Briar Cliff University in Iowa, where he plans on Dual Majoring in Mathematics and Civil Engineering and playing football for the Chargers.

Dorian is graduating Cum Laude, maintaining a cumulative GPA between 3.8 and 3.999.

There is a price that success demands you pay. It requires you to chase it down relentlessly. Dorian paid the entry fee every single day in the classroom, and now he is reaping the rewards of that discipline. He has proven that he has what it takes to do things the right way.
