Sorry about that first post guys, had tech issues but we're all good now, OK here goes;
HAPPY NEW YEAR COLORADO!!!!
It's 2018 and it's a great year for paintball.
I hope everyone had a nice holiday season, but it's that time of year again where everyone's doing tax returns and are itching to buy that new gun or tickets to that game you didn't go to last year.
Sorry for the lull in activity here on the page, we've gone through some changes and are under new Administration; unfortunately the BoBs have taken Chuck Mcguinness from us.
So, with all that being said, its time for a serious revitalization of the SAS Colorado Paintball community. As I said 2018 is a HUGE year for paintball. Last October, first strike rounds were finally approved by ASTM international, so fields that follow their standards SHOULD now allow FSR, so thats a thing. Also keeping fingers crossed for big events thats didnt allow FSR such as Living Legends.
Our 2 biggest goals of this year are;
1. Reorganize an official Colorado Woodsball scenario team that plays regularly.
2. Schedule and attend at least 4-6 big game events As A TEAM.
Events currently in mind are Oklahoma d-day, Viper's Wastelands and Tombstone, I.O.N, Stalingrad, Living Legends and maybe some ealier ones like Monte cassino or Dystopia.
So let's get your feedback! Just a quick headcount/roll call of everyone in colorado who is a member of SAS. Who are you? Do you play regularly? Where do you play? Do you play big games? If so which ones? Etc. Etc.
Either comment down below or PM me with any relevant information, and hopefully we can get a team together and start organizing regular weekend games and such!
Also look forward to alot more content and activity from the page! We plan on making several social media pages and featuring different colorado fields and players on them, as well as full coverage of all the events the team attends.

Because the Law Don't Go Around Here!

Wyatt Earp here. As Deputy US Marshall assigned to the Arizona Territory I have been authorized to bring to heel or eradicate all the red sash wearing hooligans known collectively as the "Cowboys"by any means necessary. So I'm inviting you all to come join me in bringing law to Tombstone. Either way get ready because on October 7th WARR is coming to Tombstone and the AZTEC WARRIORS, MONSTER KILLERS, TEXAS REAPERZ and one deadly bounty hunter are riding with us!!!

We have at least 5-6 players going out to Dynamic Paintball tomorrow, Saturday July 15, 2017. Come out, join us and let's talk SAS.

I'm planning to do a detailed review of events at the end of the year, but a short description seems in order today so that SAS members may consider how best to engage the mid-western scenario paintball community in 2018.

Within 1-Day Drive Road Trips (3 or 4 Days Total)

In 6-8 hours we can reach 4-5 smaller (75-125 player) events in Nebraska and or Kansas. Games of this size generally do not support 2 day events, but the players and teams from Nebraska, Kansas, Iowa, etc. are worth the trip. Fun events but you won't get that big game feel. A good place to start and meet some of the teams in the area.

In 9-10 hours we can reach Avid Extreme Sports Park just north of OKC. There are two different 2-day events each year at this field and they'll bring in 400-500 players with plenty of costuming and characters. Viper runs his semi-complicated mission oriented scenarios that are well managed and run smoothly. The field owners a slightly whacked in a good way > they provide the best food of any event in the mid-west and they put a lot of effort into providing Saturday night entertainment. Overall, these events are the most fun off the field.

Within 2-Day Drive Road Trips / Fly Trips

In 12-15 hours we reach Dallas and or St Louis

There are 3 scenario events near Dallas each year including 2 more large Viper events. The third event by Official is smaller but has good food and great players at a well run event. Dallas has the cheapest airfare from Denver of any other mid west choice that I know of....running $80-$90 round trip Denver-Dallas. So flying into Dallas and splitting some rental cars is very doable.

About an hour north of St Louis is PaintballToGo and the best on the field scenario experience of them all, featuring a wonderful mix of terrain and excellent field/game management. The game format produces 9 hours of pure paintball mayhem with it's easy reinsertion, mobile air stations and ease of engaging opponents.

Oklahoma DDAY is a unique and grand week long event. This event should be on everyone's To Do List, however for our purposes I think that it's a bonus event and we should focus on doing 2-3 weekend events in 2018.
