We’re coming home with a 4th place finish at the AMCF American Medieval Combat Federation National Qualifiers, and more importantly, a moment that means a lot to this team.

We have been incredibly fortunate in the past to have been called upon by our brothers-in-arms to help fill Worlds rosters they qualified to fill. That trust and experience was critical to us learning, pushing and leveling the team up to this point. This year was the first time Tulsa Free Company has fought our way into a Worlds slot on our own. That is history in the making for us, and it matters deeply that we acknowledge that with you all.

Chance, Zach, Rudy, Alex, Sam, Mike, Josh and Frailey — every fighter on this roster showed up in a big way. Every one of them stepped up and filled his role when it mattered most.

And it doesn’t stop there — Sarah of the Tulsa Free Company took the field with the Nite Owls and fought her way to a 2nd place finish to earn her slot on Team USA for Women’s 3v3 melees!!

Altogether, 7 TFC fighters stepped onto that field, did the work, and were found worthy. This will be the fourth time Tulsa sends fighters to represent on Team USA, and we are so honored to be sharing the 16s slot with Patrick Hurd and the Berserkers. There is a lot of pride in that partnership, a lot of work behind it, and a history of making an absolute nightmare of a combined team together.

We don’t get here without the people behind us, and we stand on the shoulders of giants. Thank you to the tournament organizers and admins for putting on an incredible event. Thank you to our support staff who kept us fed, repaired, hydrated, and ready every round — none of this happens without you. And thank you to the photographers and media teams who continue to help this sport grow and be seen.

To every team we fought this weekend — respect. Iron sharpens iron, and this community is what pushes us to keep getting better.

Also… yes, we might have forgot to take a team photo again but luckily the Murder Shed has arts and crafts time. Haters will say it’s photoshopped — and to that we have only one thing to say; "Why you gotta hate from outside the club? You can’t even get in."

We’re proud of what this group accomplished, but we’re not done yet. Denmark is next.

The Red, White, and Blue is starting to feel like home. We will wear it with honor and fight to bring home victory for everyone who believed in us and helped get us here.

See you in Denmark.
