Our Moon represents our body and the maternal energy in our life as well as our deepest emotions. The moon is the ruling planet of Cancer and having some facility here is beneficial to us because this lunation is forcing us to face some real challenges.

Opposing Pluto in Capricorn, this new moon gives us a moment to recenter on what we need to feel safe, secure, and at home in ourselves given the very real power struggles of the evolving world we live in.

Welcome to the nebulous, formless yet loving space of Neptune during this mercurial new moon. Gemini rules communication and ideas of all kinds from both the material plane and the spiritual. We can use its energy to organize our schedules and to receive messages from the divine. But in a tight square with Neptune, neither the schedule or the messages are coming in all too clearly. We may not hear what these messages are really saying until the fog clears. But that doesn’t mean we cannot use this new moon to do some beautiful and creative work.
