In my sessions my clients are always amazed at the clarity and freedom that comes from discovering parts of themselves that were hiding away their truth-
and their power.
Unconsciously leaking anergy with an undercurrent of anxiety from not knowing why they are experiencing whatever struggle they are facing.
When we allow all parts of us to be fully expressed, we get clear on who is running the show and when.
(Quick and easy example- inner child stuff comes up ALL the time in relationships and intimacy. I won’t get into the reasons why this happens in this post- but think about it, do you really think it’s your inner child’s place to be running your relationships or s.ex life?! Yeah, thought so!)
So HOW do we access and discover all these different parts?!
There are a few, but one of my favorites is exploring through movement and dance! (Surprise surprise 😉)
Playing with different outfits and music allows us to access parts of us lying dormant inside of us.
And it’s super fun 😏
It awakens something that was there all along 💫
we just never gave it a chance to be explored and expressed…

Talking can only get you so far.
Trauma, unconscious thought patters and beliefs (be it from a recent experience or from 20 years ago) are held in your BODY.
Memories and imprints stored in the deep parts of your brain aren’t online while running your logical day-to-day thinking mind and decision making.
They ARE, however, *unconsciously* affecting your behaviors, the unhelpful thoughts you can’t turn off that lead to destructive patterns (substance abuse, unhealthy dating patterns, numbing out through s*x, p**n, eating, drinking, being overly busy….)
So if you have been wondering why you are ‘doing all the things’ and still feel like you are at war with yourself or just feeling like ‘there’s something missing. There must be more to life than this’…
I’m here to tell you-
the answer lives in your BODY ⚡️
You just have to give yourself the gift and the time, to allow your overthinking frontal cortex to take a backseat.
How?
With *conscious movement and breath*
you allow deeper aspects of your psyche come to bubble up to the surface to be processed, integrated and healed.
When you mix what is coming up for you WITH your erotic, life-force energy- it ‘turbo charges’ the stuck energy to churn through your body.
Moving
Releasing
Shedding
And allowing the opportunity for the traumatic stress cycle to be completed.
(This process is often halted in our society because we aren’t taught a safe and proper way to navigate integrating and processing trauma shortly after it happens (like how animals do) so it becomes lodged in our body for months, years, decades, lifetimes)
The answer isn’t in more talking.
It’s by going INTO the body and unlocking all the potential energy trapped inside you 💫
That’s where the freedom is found...
That’s where your power is found….
That’s where you fire is BIRTHED from

On the other side of the world, underneath the stars and a tiki hut, I called my dear friend in New York City.
How are you doing?” he asked.
“Well. I am literally in paradise. On a tropical island. Doing what I love in the place I wanted to be doing it. And, I’m realizing…it was never New York City that was burning me out….it was me.”
You see, for years I blamed NYC for my stress and feeling overwhelmed and overworked.
I felt like it was the ‘price I had to pay’ to work hard for a few months to then go off and travel and let my free-spirit fly.
But as I was on that island- doing all of the things I wanted to do- taking my business online (so I wouldn’t ‘have’ to go back to nyc) supporting my teacher run her ta***ic dance training, leading and running an online women’s group where I was scheduling and having meetings with women all over the world— and therefore dashing around a beautiful island on my motorbike…to do all the things and make all my calls…
While I was grateful for the beauty of it all- I was burning the candle at both ends.
And throw in a ta***ic love affair and everything gets heightened!
Eventually I hit a wall-
“WTF am I doing?!”
“I’m as far away as I could possibly be from NYC and I feel the exact same way I did when I was there”
It was when I realized it was never the city driving me crazy and burning me out...
It was me.
MY patterns.
I could feel him smiling on the other end.
He said something like, “well, yeah, I could have told you that.”
Sometimes we have to walk through the fire ourselves- even when there are friends standing there pointing to the path to just walk around it, huh?
Both have their benefits. But I will say, after having that embodied experience- I catch it so much sooner now.
This past week I felt a dose of that same feeling and I remembered how so often we want to blame
the place,
the person,
the work
or whatever it is for our problems- when the hard truth we have to face is that the common denominator of it all...
is US.
It’s not to send us in a blame and shame spiral. We are all human. But radical responsibility can be the toughest pill to swallow-
but eventually it can be the truth that sets us free.

That messy haired, post-teaching glow…🤩
There are two things I love-
1. Connecting with other amazing humans who are committed to living in alignment with their truth to help this planet be a better place
2. Dancing my ass off- especially with the amazing humans mentioned above
Ok and a bonus 3rd thing is GUIDING this practice!
It totally lights my heart and soul on fire. And I feel my inner being just dancing around inside yelling, “YES YES YESSS!”💃🏻💃🏻💃🏻
So when asked me to guest teach a Dance Journey for her Soul Led group I hardly finished her message before knowing that I would love to.
To help support the integration of all the beautiful work she has been doing with her group- into their bodies? hell yeah!💛
Because here’s the thing-
Being in this personal development journey for over a decade I know how it goes when we are doing all the ‘right things’
all the mindset work in the world, reading all the books, listening to all the podcasts, doing all the trainings, maybe even therapy....
but if we don’t move it, integrate it, shake it, release it through our BODIES...
it’s like we keep on spinning in our heads never feeling like it’s truly enough.
What it comes down to is getting out of our heads (and out of our own way) so we finally allow the messages and wisdom be heard- and the Truth that is there underneath all the noise.
I always say, you already have all the wisdom, power, healing ability within your own body— you just need to get out of your own way and learn to listen.
I have so many ideas of how to share this practice with more people- so stay tuned 😉

Yesterday I shared about “buts” and how they can keep us from committing and going after what we really want in life.
(And yes, I saw this pic and thought it was fitting ;) And although ‘butts’ are great- they are not the ones I’m talking about here. But by all means, love up on your booty🤣)

Today I wanted to share how some of my biggest shifts and transformations have happened when
I wanted something —> I saw my brain coming up with all the “buts” and reasons it
❌wouldn’t work
❌was a crazy idea
❌I couldn’t have it
and I said —> “AND IM GOING TO DO IT ANYWAYS!”
Whether it was
-not resigning my lease and booking a one way ticket to Africa without much money in savings
-stepping into my work and business in a big way even when things felt scary and my brain told me all the reasons why I should just stop trying
-saying yes to a kind of relationship I wanted to explore that felt new and unknown
-or walking away from something/someone/someplace that felt safe or comfortable that I could find alllllll the reasons and ‘buts’ to make me believe it wasn’t “that bad”
Does this start to paint a picture of how many times we want to do things or make changes and our brain and those ‘buts’ gets in the way? 🤔
The thing is…
Is that it’s amazing how the universe rises up to MEET you, once you have committed…once you have d e c I d e d you are doing it…⚡️
Especially when you’re not even sure “how” its going to work out!
And I know, I know, it takes a lot of trust. But that’s when the universe starts working in mysterious ways to help you…💫
And that’s when life get’s rich and colorful🌈
And THAT, my friends,
is reclaiming your power- because you know it is more capable than your brain can even comprehend is possible.
All this ‘magical life stuff’ is no longer fluffy bu****it when it’s rooted in a DEEP commitment to yourself, your truth and the highest version of yourself and your life💥

“I really want to, BUT….”
I don’t know how many times I have heard this from people.
•People who sign up for calls with me
•People in my life
•People I used to overhear on the subway
Hell, even my own brain likes to chime in trying to get me to fall for it.
Or sometimes it’s not even said out loud but you FEEL that ‘but’ writhing and wrestling around in someone when they are talking about what they really want.
You know…while they’re...
-complaining about not making enough money or
-the job they hate (or not even hate but they feel “it’s okay/it pays the bills/it’s fine”) or
-wanting to work on a s*xual issue or
-committing to a creative project or
-a fitness/movement plan that supports their body (not just their ego) or
-move to a new place or
-wanting to actually meet someone who is GOOD for them and not someone who is just helping replay old patterns over and over and over again. (I mean, how many times have you gone after the unavailable man/woman knowing damn well that it wasn’t going to end well??)
Get where I’m going here?
All to say, that big, fat “BUT” sneaks in everywhere. And it can go 2 ways.
1️⃣ you say it and it spins you out into a dark pit of despair- believing all the reasons why you could never have ‘the thing’ and you stay there for years.
OR
2️⃣ you may hear the big “but” come in with all the reasons…AND THEN (here’s the kicker)
You say “AND I’m going to
🌟say “yes!
🌟decide
🌟and commit to doing it a n y w a y s.
Boom.
All the excuses are gone.
Sure, there will be logistics to figure out.
But the back and forth and being stuck in victim mode is transformed- instantly.
It helps if you have people to hold you accountable for this (trust me on this!)
Because all those big fat buts will try to distract you and tell you lies (daily at first) and drown out your magic.

“Darling, did you forget?
that you are freakin’ MAGIC?!”
💫
My brain was caught up overthinking some s**t today that honestly doesn’t matter.
And then I caught myself and a little voice inside me stood up and was like…”umm hello? Did you forget something?!?” 🙋🏻♀️
Our brain likes to spin out and worry. It also can try to get us to feel like we need to perfectly plan out our lives so we GETALLTHETHINGSDONE (and look great while doing it!) or that each struggle or strained relationship is wrapped up in a perfect bow of completion. Because once those things happen we can relax and finally feel good about ourselves.
And sometimes I think what we all need to do is get used to breathing into the wild imperfection of life and our world-
💫And then still choose to see the beauty.
Breathe into all the uncomfortable feelings-
💫And then still choose to feel pleasure (not avoiding the feeling but allowing yourself to feel pleasure, presence and love WITHIN those feelings)
Breathe into the parts that don’t feel good enough-
💫And then still choose to remember YOU ARE FREAKING MAGIC!
You literally are sitting here today- because of two people- that created a cluster of cells (a zygote! I just love that word!)- the size of a poppyseed seed (!!!)
to now be a grown ass human with grown ass problems....
How cool is that? 🤩
So here’s your reminder- in case you need it-
that by simply existing (even with all your problems)
you are enough.
you are incredible.
you are utter MAGIC ✨wrapped in skin.
The to-do lists, the doubts, the fears, the discomforts will always be there.
But it’s up to you to remind yourself of your own magic—
My practices help me remember.
By connecting to my body- I remember my spirit.

Oh, the precious back of the heart ❤️
When we think of the heart, and the energy of the heart space, we often think of this forward facing, chest and heart-wide-open vibe.
Arms out stretched,
“Love me love me love me!”
“I love you I love you I love you!”
But how often do you think about the back of your heart?
Energetically, this is the love that comes not from giving or receiving love from anyone else (outward exchange)- but simply from y o u, with you, and that embodiment of love within.
I can tell a lot about someone’s love (for themselves or another) by their body structure.
This began when I started intuitively picking up on these ‘cues’ while doing bodywork on my clients. By what parts of them were tight, out of balance etc.
Without me saying anything they would disclose something about their personal life that was so spot on to what I was picking up.
“hmm maybe I am onto something..?” I thought.
So I went off to study. About the energetic and the subtle body. It’s what led me to Ta**ra. And trauma and body/character types that developed from developmental trauma (no matter how great our parents were- we all have it)
It all started to make sense.
I was my first case study and it’s how I started healing my body from seeing doctors and healers, physical therapists and body workers non-stop for years—to feeling pretty damn good.
So now when a part of my body flares up- sure there can be a very obvious physical reason (‘you did a lot of new tricks on your pole today’) but I can also laugh because my body is SO spot on with what I am uncovering within my own life, and within my own heart 🤍
All to say, your body is speaking to you. Listen.
And on your next breath in, breathe into that glorious back of the heart- because so often it’s easy for us to be kind to others, love others— but how kind and loving are you being to yourself? To your own body? Your own thoughts about YOU?
