As we continue our AAPI Heritage Month celebrations, we're excited to feature one of our extraordinary accompanists, Renee Ong!🎹🎶

Renee is a musician, composer, and orchestrator from Singapore. She looks fondly upon dance accompaniment as a dual platform of opportunity - both to serve dance and to grow as a musician. Holding the belief that creativity comes through self-discovery, she pursues a variety of disparate art forms freely yet devotedly.

GUEST ARTIST SERIES: Contemporary Fusion with Maleek Washington ❤️

We're thrilled to welcome Maleek to the Mark Morris Dance Center!

Maleek's class delves into the dancer of today, reeducating the body to enhance our human aspects and creating an atmosphere to be versatile in any given style. Maleek's movement and combinations range from Improvisation to Contemporary. Fusing aspects from modern dance with a Hip Hop flare, and learning how to tell a vivid story with your body. The class includes a range of structured formatted movement, improvisation, floor work and dynamics centered around making strong movement choices. Maleek leads the class into an investigation of our individual qualities by integrating acting skills to help dive deeper into a sense of self and to create well-rounded performers and artists.

Our Ballet Intensive returns June 26 - 28, led by Ashley Tuttle.

Join Ashley Tuttle, Mica Bernas, and Alex Berger at the Mark Morris Dance Group for our Ballet Intensive! This three-day intensive invites adult dancers at the intermediate to advanced level to participate in an immersive training experience, featuring ballet, classical variations, repertory, modern dance, and somatic techniques, all with live musical accompaniment.
