Give fat people a break.
A lot of overweight people are trying harder on their health than a lot of lean people judging them ever have.
They're hitting roadblocks you can't see and carrying pain you can barely fathom.
Shame is typically an ineffective strategy to create change and mainly serves to further worsen the condition that you are judging.

Can a spice fix ADHD? 🌶️ Comment ’30’ for 30 Free Functional Health Protocols to make you a better coach 🧪
Including an ADHD functional guide :)
Well no, not fix…but improve as much as prescribed medication?
It looks very promising.
Maybe you want to treat your ADHD without drugs.
30% of people can’t tolerate the side effects of ADHD medication anyway. insomnia, appetite suppression, nausea.
Maybe you’ve been told there’s nothing else…well … there is…
Comment ’30’ for 30 Free Functional Health Protocols 🧪
In 2019, a 6 week randomised, double blind trial was done on 54 children with ADHD.
Half got ritalin.
The other half got … saffron capsules. 20 to 30 milligrams per day (depending on body weight).
In 3 weeks, both groups showed significant improvement.
By week 6, saffron was JUST as effective as ADHD medication on lack of focus and hyperactivity rating scales.
And the side effects for saffron lower compared to ritalin.
How is this happening and what should you do with your clients?
Saffron is hypothesised to block the recycling of dopamine and noradrenaline so more of it stays active in the synapse.
What we think drives some of ADHD hyperactivity is that NMDA receptors are too excitatory.
So saffron acts as an NMDA receptor antagonist means it dials down that excessive excitatory signalling.
If you suspect your client or yourself has ADHD, consider educating them on the power of saffron.
Note: Doses above 5 grams (5,000 mg) are considered toxic and doses above 20 grams (20,000 mg) may be lethal.
“Saffron supplements usually contain saffron stigma extract, which is the most studied form. However, whole dehydrated stigma or petals are sometimes used, and preliminary research suggests they may also be effective.”

If creatine’s making you 💩 your pants, here’s the dose you should be taking.
A 2008 RCT split athletes into two groups.
The 10g-in-one-go group? 55% had diarrhoea.
The 5g-split-twice group? Only 28%
The only difference was timing.
Creatine has limited solubility in water.
About 1g per 60-75ml at room temp.
When you slam 10-20g into a small glass, most of it stays undissolved and pulls water into your gut on the way through.
That’s why you want to run to the bathroom.
Here’s how to fix it:
1g creatine = ~50ml of water.
Use warm water - it dissolves nearly double the amount and reduces the osmotic load on the gut.
Split your dose.
5g three to four times throughout the day, ideally with food.
Not 20g in one hit pre-workout like a maniac.
🧠 Comment or DM concussion for a concussion protocol.
The concussion isn’t what destroys the brain. What happens in the 6 months after is.
Mechanical impact stretches neuronal membranes, potassium effluxes out, calcium influxes in, the mitochondria get overwhelmed with calcium, and that’s what triggers the reactive oxygen species cascade and the energy crisis.
4 compounds in the literature target it:
OMEGA-3 (DHA + EPA)
The brain is built from DHA.
DHA is roughly 10-20% of total brain fatty acids,
DHA rebuilds damaged membranes.
EPA + DHA also convert into resolvins and protectins, what the literature calls Specialised Pro-Resolving Mediators (SPMs).
SPMs aren’t anti-inflammatory. They’re pro-resolution. They actively shut inflammation down rather than block it.
Athletes supplementing omega-3 across a season showed attenuated rises in neurofilament light chain, a biomarker of axonal injury (Oliver, 2021).
Dose: 4-6g total omega-3/day, DHA-emphasised, triglyceride form.
CREATINE
Brain runs on ATP. After concussion, an energy crisis occurs.
Creatine restores phosphocreatine stores in neurons.
For cognition under stress: 10g/day.
For sleep deprivation: up to 20g.
For concussion or active brain injury: 30g+/day.
CURCUMIN (Meriva)
NF-κB inhibition and COX-2 down-regulation.
It blocks the inflammatory pathway driving secondary injury.
Standard curcumin barely absorbs. Meriva (lecithin phytosome) gets 29x better absorption.
Dose: 1000mg day.
THE TIER STRUCTURE
Tier 1 (foundation): Zinc, Magnesium, Omega-3, Creatine. Start day one.
Tier 2 (oxidative defence): NAC, Melatonin, Glutathione. Add within 72 hours if possible.
Tier 3 (targeted): Curcumin, Boswellia, DHEA, Pregnenolone. Add if symptoms persist past 2-4 weeks.
You can’t rest your way out of a concussion. Metabolic injury requires metabolic support.

If you’re feeling overwhelmed and anxious, this has been one of the greatest antidotes we’ve found before you start your day.
Give yourself the space to regulate your nervous system to start your day on your terms. We do this at our Trinity retreats with a combination of somatic practices, including:
- bilateral stimulation
- orientating
- shaking
- breath
- connection with others
We’ve never opened our retreats to the public but we are considering it.
Our retreats are some of Australia’s most deep, transformational, and connected.
If you’ve ever felt the pull to attend one, feel free to reach out.
If you’re wondering why life and business can feel so hard and messy one thing you may consider for yourself is creating space to fill your own cup before you pour into others.
It can be hard to practice what you preach so it’s something we teach in all of our retreats, starting off our mornings by giving our coaches the environment and tools to go back home and show up better in their business, life, and for themselves
Thank you to my wonderful for holding this space with me
Years of work but you still feel so far away from your goal. What do you do to not give up?
.wintle
Maybe you’ve been trying hard for years and you feel far away from your dreams.
What I’ve discovered is you’re only a set number of mistakes, failures and lessons away from becoming what you want.
The problem is you don’t know how many. It’s invisible.
You’ve got a pickaxe and you’re swinging for gold.
But you don’t know how far away you are until the moment you hit it.
One conversation. One piece of content. One day. One butterfly effect moment can change your entire life.
And if you give up before that moment, you’ll never know how close you were.
Instead of fixating on when you’ll find the gold you pick a hole and a pickaxe that you can fall in love with swinging.
You pick a pursuit that gives you gratification from the blood, sweat and tears.
Because if your happiness and peace is locked behind the achievement, you’ll be miserable the entire way there.
But if you can find peace in the trying, in the doing, in knowing you laid your head on the pillow having done all that could be done that day...
You can be a proud and content through that.
And a funny thing happens, finding the gold and achieving all your dreams becomes easier.
