Brooklyn Greens

The storied British Open has once again lived up to its reputation as the season’s inflection point! The winds of change swept through the standings, shaking contenders from the top and giving rise to hungry challengers clawing their way upward.

Though held unusually early this year in Week 3, the Open at Royal Lytham still delivered one of the most thrillingly close events in recent memory, with every team neck and neck, and only four strokes separating 2nd place from Second-to-Last!

But, as in every great contest, one team rose above the fray: the indomitable 🤩Gang of Fore🤩….in a triumphant return to the top… didn’t just win; they dominated.

Posting a staggering Low Gross of 6-under-par, and also claiming the low net by a nearly four-stroke margin over the closest challengers, reminding everyone of their championship pedigree.

This week also marked a resurgence for several league stalwarts who had been lying in wait. Classic teams with new names like The Heartbreakers and Golf Lundgren, as well as old-faithfuls like Pin High and Slice is Right. These squads were led by the weekly runner-up finisher Still Your Shot, this squad of “now vets” have been making pivotal moves all season, and have placed themselves firmly at the Top of the Season Standings as we head toward the midway point.

Even those languishing near the bottom have put up points at an impressive clip, underscoring the tight competition and setting the stage for one of the most closely contested seasons we’ve ever seen.

Even though we still have a few teams yet to play all their rounds thru the W6, projected standings through Week 5 will be unveiled in the coming days.

Due to the unexpected bye weeks, the regular season will likely extend into December, and we’re committed to accommodating all scheduling needs to ensure every team has the opportunity to complete their rounds in a timely manner.

Buckle up—this race to the finish is just heating up and is poised to be one for the history books!

⛳️ Week 2 at Wentworth Golf Club delivered one of the toughest early-season tests in recent memory ⛳️
A new team of familiar faces, wittily dubbed the “Sandbaggers” (though none of them actually are), stole the spotlight with the week’s low round, powered by the sensational performance of . Their sharp play signals that they are a force to watch as the season unfolds.

Standouts from Week 1, Dollar Slice and Still Your Shot, were far from quiet, each posting excellent rounds to secure their spots near the top of the leaderboard. With consistent performances, both squads look poised to make an early-season statement.

A special shoutout goes to of Sim Shank Redemption, who dazzled with the week’s low gross, posting an impressive 37.6. He wasn’t alone in the limelight, as stellar rounds were also recorded by Sam Mattson, , , and —proving that talent runs deep across the field.

For those leading the pack, beware: your handicaps are dropping, and no lead is ever safe. And to the teams lagging behind—this season is long, and there’s plenty of time to turn things around. The journey has just begun, and every swing counts from here on out.🏌️‍♂️

🗞️Rookies Rise, Familiar Faces Lurk: Fore Play Stuns in Week One of 2024 Fall League🗞️

The 2024 Fall League wasted no time delivering fireworks in its opening week, as a fresh-faced squad stormed to the top of the leaderboard. Fore Play, a group of rookies eager to prove they belong, roared out of the gates with a jaw-dropping 17-under-par performance, powered by a dazzling display from Will Purcell. Their early dominance signals that the newcomers aren’t here to just participate—they’re here to contend.

Hot on their heels, however, are the familiar heavyweights—those battle-tested squads we’ve come to expect deep in the postseason. While Week One traditionally provides a softer start, the difficulty will crank up soon enough, especially with the daunting British Open challenge looming in Week Three. This season is shaping up to be no walk in the park.

Meanwhile, individual brilliance shone through the leaderboard.  of Gang of Fore seized low gross honors with an impressive 2-under-par round, reminding everyone why his name is always in the conversation. Not to be outdone, Gaurav Rajan of Dollar Slice, Spiceboy , and  from Still Your Shot, all posted eye-catching net scores that set the tone for what’s bound to be a fiercely competitive season.
