MOVI’s interactive and interdisciplinary series will create space for exchanges among artists and students who can take their new understanding about traditional African dance and its line to European dance forms and apply that knowledge to other aspects of life. More acceptance and respect in the dance community about African heritage and the ties that bind us will spread through society, breaking down barriers and neutralizing racism. The Arts have the great ability to transcend what divides people and encourage peace and love in our population while providing solace to the community!
