BIG ANNOUNCEMENT 📣
Some of you know, some don’t, but it’s officially official…
I’m gonna be a nurse! 👩🏻‍⚕️
I’ve been attending SUNY Niagara since last fall to get all of my prerequisites and I was recently accepted into the nursing program starting in Fall 2026
Graduating class of 2028 👩🏻‍🎓 (then into my BSN so really 2030 🤪 but who’s counting?)

The decision to go back to school at 35 with two kids while working was not made lightly. The hard work it’s taken to get top marks and get accepted into a competitive program hasn’t come without sacrifice. I would absolutely not be able to do this without the support of the people that love me. But I also wouldn’t be here if I didn’t believe in myself.

My path has never been traditional, it makes perfect sense that I’m here now, wiser (though far from where I hope to be), more mature, able to see the big picture. I can’t imagine doing this in my late teens/early 20s! I’ve always wanted to get a degree and I couldn’t be more grateful for the opportunity to do so for free (shoutout to NY state’s SUNY reconnect program!!!)

Moving Chronicles Pt. 2

Progress

In the span of two days I found out my New York massage license application was approved AND I got a job!

After 6 months of forms, phone calls, and waiting I can practice massage in both Florida and New York!!!!!

After 3 months of searching, applying, and getting denied I finally have a full time administrative job with benefits and stability waiting for me in Buffalo!!!!!!

The puzzle is coming together piece by piece

Next step find a home!!!! 🏠

Not knowing is hard
Pushing forward when you don’t know what's coming is hard
But it’s how we discover new parts of ourselves, new opportunities, and ultimately live a rich life

I am officially leaving Tampa on June 24th
My last day working will be June 21st
Until then packing, purging, & planning!

The Closing of the Bones

I’ve learned about this ritual through personal study and practice. For years I’ve felt called to understand traditions of community care from around the world, and through that call I’ve learned that so many of these traditions are the same.

As people of the earth we have an innate knowledge of healing within us.

As women we know that we have been opened by birth. We feel this in not just our bodies but in our minds and spirit.

We know that something is missing from this healing time in our modern world.
