Midwife mama Nasrah transitioned today. My house is quiet as I sit honoring her memory as a Grand midwife, she helped a multitude of families bring forth their babies. Am grateful that we spent time together at the Alabama Black Midwives Conference. And glad that the next generation of midwives and midwife students had a chance to interact with her, and get some traditional midwife hugs and wisdom. Please pray for the comfort of her family, close friends and the elder midwife community. We love her and we will miss her. And when libation comes, I will call her name along with the others. Another midwife has risen. May her spirit stay amongst us.
