Six cities. One icon.

The Aalto 90 City Vase Collection celebrates ninety years of Alvar Aalto's iconic form - reinterpreted through the light, rhythm and creative energy of six cities: Helsinki, Tokyo, Amsterdam, Copenhagen, New York and Berlin.

The first reveal is Helsinki. Light Grey glass holding the stillness of pale winter skies, the mist over the sea, the rare shimmer of the northern lights on a clear night. Finished with an iridescent lustre technique developed exclusively for this anniversary year.

Limited to 1,000 numbered pieces.

Big news—we’re excited to share:

Pratt has been ranked #5 in the world for Art & Design in the QS World University Rankings by Subject 2026, and #3 in the United States.

This kind of recognition comes from the people who make Pratt what it is: faculty, students, alumni, and partners who are constantly pushing creative work forward.

We’ve been in the global top 10 every year since 2015 — something that really speaks to the strength of this community.

A proud moment for Pratt, and for everyone who’s part of it. Read more on this news here: https://bit.ly/3PyLNN5

In 1949, Ray and Charles Eames built an experimental home using a series of grid-like, deceptively simple steel-framed panels. Today, their Pacific Palisades residence is a world-renowned museum and midcentury mecca. But this singularity, a physical shrine to the couple’s vision, is better considered a system: a model that the couple would famously revisit and rework throughout their lifetime. Now, Ray and Charles’s prefab visions can be the basis for your own project. In partnership with Barcelona-based manufacturer Kettal, the Eames Office has developed the Eames Pavilion System, a modular building kit of parts with a wide range of uses, including a recording studio, backyard office, or even a home. “It’s not a nostalgia exercise at all,” says Eames Demetrios, grandson of the couple and current director of the Eames Office. “It’s actually just sort of saying, ‘Wow, isn’t it amazing that so much of this was thought through.’ What we really did is brought it across the finish line, not to fetishize this one house, but the thinking that was within it.” Read more about the structural modules, which start at around $325 a square foot: https://www.dwell.com/article/eames-house-pavilion-system-modular-design-kettal-9aeb4708
