At 43 years old I’ve never felt stronger mentally and physically. I spent many years overweight and depressed. It is never too late to transform yourself. I have lost 90lb and it did not happen overnight, small changes add up and I’m proof.

Yesterday I completed an 80 day workout program. It took me longer then 80 days, my nutrition wasn’t 100% but I completed it!!! This is a tough program but I feel so much stronger. Today I stepped way out of my comfort zone and started a Barre program. I am not graceful or coordinated but wanted to challenge myself. New month, new workout are you stepping out of your comfort zone today??


Day 77/80 - Leg day. This program is tough but so am I πŸ’ͺ🏼


Do you workout regularly? Do you take rest days? Rest days are important for muscle recovery, building strength, minimizing fatigue and avoiding mental burnout. I have to remind myself that it’s ok to take a rest’s important and part of the process

I originally started yoga about 20 years ago. I was 256lb. I had scoliosis so I always had back pain. Yoga was affordable and it felt good. I have continued to do yoga over the years because it helps with my pain tremendously. I do it as often as I can even when I am doing other workout programs. Do you know yoga helps with alleviating pain, lubricating joints, corrects bad posture and is great for spine care? Have you tried yoga?

What does confidence mean to you? I have spent most of my 43 years uncomfortable in my own skin and unhappy with the way I looked. I can remember taking my sons to the park and comparing myself to the other moms and wishing I was skinny like them. Eating healthy, working out regularly and working on personal development has changed my mindset. Instead of wanting to look like those β€œskinny” moms I just want to have my own best body!

Think about your goals and what you want to accomplish and trick your mind by telling yourself you are already those things. And then work like hell to prove each statement to true.

I didn’t sleep well last night. I had a dream about my dad that woke me up and I couldn’t go back to sleep. I miss him more then I could ever say. My knee pain is really bumming me out but I had to move today. If I don’t workout or stretch my back hurts so I did some yoga. I even had to modify some yoga because of my knee and that just may be what I have to do in order to exercise right now

Did you know Sweet potatoes are a great source of Vitamin C, Vitamin A, potassium and magnesium? They also help in weight loss, aid in digestion, boosts immunity and are packed with energizing carbs!! Today I have a crock pot full of sweet potatoes for the week. I rub them with coconut oil and my favorite seasonings and will cook on high for 3 hours 🍠🍠
