• What's it like working out together?
(Jim): It’s great to be able to do something together after years of doing our own exercise regimens.

(Lisa): MCF classes afford us quality time together. We motivate each other to push harder. Lagree brings increased energy and satisfaction to our relationship… we're growing stronger together and loving every minute of it! Wouldn’t be the same Lagree shaking without my life teammate beside me!

• What makes MCF stand out from other studios?
(Jim): This is actually the first formal studio I have ever been a member of.

(Lisa): MCF offers a variety of power packed, full body workouts that leave you craving for more! It is a place for men and women of all fitness levels. It will elevate your performance in other exercise activities. MCF believes in me which makes me believe in myself. When your mind and body say you can’t give anymore, MCF says YOU CAN! Proper form and slow controlled movement is drilled into your workouts. I love the gut-wrenching sounds of people digging deep and “fighting for it”…it’s energizing! MCF is THE place where change happens! It demands focus and pure determination. Come as you are and MCF Will meet you there.

• What have you noticed about yourselves since joining MCF?
(Jim): Since joining MCF, I have noted an increase in core strength and weight loss. Combined with exercise and eating right, the classes have been very beneficial!

(Lisa): As a middle-aged woman, the strength I’ve gained from Lagree is unmatched! I feel balanced all over, while defining and re-shaping my muscles. The confidence I’ve gained elevates my daily life, physically and mentally. Lagree at MCF has become an integral part of my overall wellness and exercise routine.

• Do you have a favorite or least favorite class model?
(Jim): I like doing combination Fuse and Lagree classes as they stress the muscle groups that bring about desired body changes.
I would say that PSM was not my favorite for a long time, because the straps required grip strength and stress that I could not provide due to arthritis. It is much better now so I may change my mind on that in the future.

(Lisa): Lagree classes - all levels, Lagree and Fuse and Functional Fuse are my favorite classes so far. Light springs and heavy springs are equally challenging. Looking forward to the new classes coming onto the schedule soon.

• Jim, what would you say about MCF to other guys?
(Jim): If you are looking to make some fitness changes in your life, MegaCorps is it! You won’t regret it, go SLOW!

• Lisa, what does MCF mean to you?
(Lisa): It’s a community of encouraging and supportive people working out to better themselves… physically and mentally! One class and I was hooked! Mikel, Steffeny and company are top notch! I appreciate the level of their knowledge and hands-on form corrections for injury prevention and to get the most out of every workout. Lagree is effective and sustainable for all body types. As it turns out, “feeling strong” is the best result I never knew I needed. 💪🏼

When I set out to turn my health around about three years ago, my main goal was to lose weight. I didn’t like how I looked, and I was tired of feeling discouraged with the way my clothes fit.

What I didn’t know at the time was that losing weight, liking how I look, and feeling good in my clothes are actually not the best perks of getting healthy (they are definitely perks, though!!). The best perk turns out to be how strong I’ve become—both physically and mentally. 👊🏼

Watching and feeling my strength increase through every difficult meal planning hiccup, every challenging workout, and every moment I wanted to give up is the actual high that comes from a healthy lifestyle. It’s a high that helps me face and conquer real-life challenges every day.

I hope that if you’re in a place where you want to make changes to your health but don’t know how to get started, you’ll consider chasing “strength” as a goal. Lift weights, find a resistance training program online, or join a class. The strength you gain from these workouts not only trains your muscles, but it trains your mind. And when your mind becomes stronger, it’s easier to say “no” to the unhealthy habits you’ve lived with.

🌟What do you love most about Lagree?
Since I’ve started Lagree 4 years ago I’ve noticed the biggest confidence boost I have in my everyday life. The physical challenge is one thing, but I love how I’m able to push past what I think I’m capable of. I always leave class hungry for more.

🌟What is your favorite thing about teaching Lagree?
I love the trust that clients have in me when they take my class. It’s always a give and take energetically in the best way which is so magical. A lot of clients in my classes have become close friends and when I walk in the room and feel all the joy it reminds of why I started teaching this method at The Studio (MDR).

🌟What is a fun fact about you?
If I’m not at the studio teaching you can find me at another studio dancing. I’ve been a technically trained dancer since the age of 4 and professionally since around the age of 16. Find me on stage with your favorite artist! 

🌟What is your favorite Mega move?
Rev giant hamstring curl/Giant hamstring curl. Everyone knows this is my favorite move of all time lol it seriously only takes about 2 reps for you to feel the engagement immediately and I love the challenge of getting through it!

🌟 Tell us briefly about you and your studio.
I've been teaching Lagree for over 2 years and recently opened up my studio, Core 45 Lagree, last month in Lincoln Nebraska! I would describe myself as my client's biggest supporter and cheerleader when it comes to each class I teach!

🌟What made you originally fall in love with Lagree?
I fell in love with Lagree the second I started shaking! The constant challenge and opportunity to grow during each class has kept me hooked! Lagree has shown me my strength and resilience as well as providing an amazing community to learn with and I couldn't be more grateful for this method!

🌟What do you want your clients to leave each workout with?
I want clients to leave each workout feeling stronger, happier and more supported than when they first came into my studio! I hope they find a sense of community to shake and sweat with! We believe if it doesn’t challenge you, it won’t change you. Expect challenge and fun in every class! Each 45 minute class is jam packed with bumpin music, high energy, and LED lights to motivate you. We value the uniqueness each person brings to class and aspire to leave each person 1% better than when they stepped in.

🌟What do you love most about Lagree?
I love that even the most athletic people find the workout challenging and humbling! When you walk into class, everything else is left behind and you truly focus on yourself and your body for the entirety of class. Every class is challenging for me, even after over 13 years of taking classes.

🌟What is your favorite thing about teaching Lagree?
When someone finally taps into their first Lagree shake, it’s a huge victory to be able to reach that point both physically and mentally. I love watching clients transform their bodies and abilities right before our very eyes!

🌟What is a fun fact about you?
I have been modeling for almost 30 years. Not supermodel status by any means, but chances are you have bought a product that I have been on the packaging, or been in a commercial or some promotional material for.

🌟What is your favorite Mega move?
I absolutely love runners lunge. Every time I do it, I’m certain to shake!!

🌟 Tell us briefly about you and your studio.
Bend is a relatively small town, so we pride ourselves on being a part of a thriving small business community. Our trainers are our bread and butter and their hard work, knowledge, and genuine care for our clients is what makes us most proud!

🌟What made you originally fall in love with Lagree?
Jenny started doing Lagree back in 2010 and was immediately hooked & became a Lagree certified instructor in 2012. Jenny originally fell in love with Lagree because of the slow, controlled movements which she felt created an almost meditative experience which helped her focus during her workouts. Not to mention it was the only workout she’s ever tried that built the muscle tone that she craved for all of her other daily pursuits.
Matt fell in love with Jenny, and the rest is history😜 But seriously, Matt is 6’6 and found that many other workout methods hurt his body and were not well adapted for his height.  When he started doing Lagree he knew he’d be hooked when he was finally able to do a lunge again without hurting his knees!

🌟What do you want your clients to leave each workout with?
After working out at Lagree HD, we want our clients to feel strong, encouraged, and included as a part of our positive and uplifting community.  We want them to feel results and feel better in their body.  We want everyone to experience the incredible intensity that the Lagree method has to offer, but also feel like they have the tools to accomplish hard things, both in the 50-minute class, & also in their daily lives, physically and mentally.

This week we are featuring - a Lagree instructor at in Colorado who is currently taking a quick pause for maternity leave as she gets ready to have her first baby. 🌟What do you love most about Lagree?
I love the way Lagree makes my body feel during class but also outside of the studio. Lagree is a fantastic balance of high intensity strength training while also being low impact. I am currently pregnant and I love that I can continue to move through a method that's safe and fun while also being modifiable as needed for pregnancy! 

🌟What is your favorite thing about teaching Lagree?
I love the clients (newbies included!) and the energy that fills the room once the music gets cranking! 

🌟What is a fun fact about you?
I've lived in 5 major cities- including LA, Boston, NYC, SF and now Denver- grateful they all feature fantastic Lagree studios! 

🌟What is your favorite Mega move?
Big fan of upper body (serve the platter, overhead tricep extension etc) AND any lighter lunge (floor lunge, elevator lunge, back lunge etc)!

I’m a crazy dog gal. my parents said I couldn’t get a dog since I was 19 and in college … so I did what any responsible 19-year-old would do: got said dog anyways and showed up on their front step with a golden retriever. best decision I have ever made! of course, now she’s in love with my husband more than me (the ultimate betrayal)

Forearm plank to pike, make it twisted for that extra spice

Today we are spotlighting a new international Lagree studio located in Phuket, Thailand - .co 🎉 Their goal is to bring the Lagree Method to Thailand, adding more variety into the fitness offering market there, and to give clients a challenging, effective and efficient workout experience. 🌟Tell us briefly about you and your studio?  
My name is Chrissy and I came across Lagree in 2018 in Zurich Switzerland, thinking I was going to try out Pilates. I came out thinking that Pilates was definitely one of the most challenging workout methods we have ever come across. Shout out to where they described it as Lagree and that was the start of a whole new obsession for me. Unfortunately, I was residing in Thailand and was only ever able to make it to Lagree classes when I was visiting Zurich. I have to admit that I often planned a 1 - 3 month stay there just to be able to go to Lagree classes 3-5 times a week. I found myself wishing that a Lagree Studio would open up in Phuket, Thailand, so I decided to solve my own problem and open the first studio in 🙌

🌟What made you originally fall in love with Lagree?
Quite frankly, it kicked my butt. Having been in competitive sport my whole life, I went into my first class thinking I was in pretty good shape and left the class feeling humbled. I could not believe that I have not come across any form of exercise like this before. It felt like a HIIT, strength, yoga and balance class all wrapped into one. I loved the efficiency of it - how it seemed to work my body in a completely different but complementary way to my other workouts.

🌟What do you want your clients to leave each workout with?
I want them to leave with a sense of accomplishment - that after workout glow - of having put yourself through something challenging, sticking with it and coming out of the other side feeling good about doing hard things mixed in with that post workout dopamine high.

This week we are featuring .fit who is a Lagree instructor at in Sugar Land, TX. She is a nurse full time, but spends much of her free time teaching Lagree, yoga, and strength training, just to name a few.  She rarely gets a day off, but loves what she does to help people live healthier lives!

🌟What do you love most about Lagree?
You will come out of class knowing you worked your entire body!   I love that it is a both a low impact and a high intensity workout.   Also, there is so much variety in the workout, there are so many exercises that can be done on the Mega, and they can be always be slowed down more or taken to a deeper range of motion. This makes the workout challenging for anyone, whether you’re a beginner or someone who has been doing Lagree for years!  The possibilities on the Mega are endless!

🌟What is your favorite thing about teaching Lagree?
I love to help change my students lives for the better, both mentally and physically.  To watch them get stronger and more empowered to take on any challenge brings so much joy to me as an instructor!

🌟What is a fun fact about you?
I used to play roller derby competitively for a local team!

🌟What is your favorite Mega move?
The Super Lunge- it is an amazingly effective and efficient exercise that works the entire body-upper body, lower body, and core!

The Lagree Method: Cardio
Lagree is designed to be a full body, high intensity, low impact workout, that checks off all the boxes of physical fitness including Cardio. All of the moves throughout the workout are performed incredibly slow, except our transitions. Our transitions are kept to a minimum and designed to be as fast as possible. This allows the heart rate to stay elevated and the cardio element of the Method is felt. Our spring systems allow for faster and easier transitions, which is why the Method is designed for our patented machines.
Next time you’re in your Lagree workout, notice your heart rate and how you feel when you make your transitions quick and avoid resting in between moves.

I love the fact that you’re not only working out physically, but you are also exercising your mind. Having to be focused the entire time on what you’re doing is great for brain health.

🌟What is your favorite thing about teaching Lagree?
My favorite thing about teaching Lagree is the community. I am able to empower people to become their best version and make lifelong friends simultaneously.

🌟What is a fun fact about you? 
A fun fact about me is that I have two kids — and they are the reason I got into lagree in the first place. As a mom, I needed to find a quick and efficient workout that could strengthen my pelvic floor and be efficient with time. 

🌟What is your favorite Mega move?
My favorite move is the super lunge because it is a full body burn. It works the core, legs, and upper body all in one. It requires a lot of mental strength to maintain balance and stability as you do the exercise. The burn in this particular move is the most overwhelming out of all of the exercises in lagree.

🌟Tell us briefly about you and your studio?  
Hi! We are Taylor + Lloyd, California natives that made a move to Idaho and had to bring our favorite workout with us! Tone Fitness Studio was created with community in mind. Our goal is to provide a safe place, a fun place, an encouraging place that is supportive of every person that walks through our doors. We strive to teach constant, effective muscle stimulation to every client by staying true to The Method!

🌟 What made you originally fall in love with Lagree?

I fell in love with the Lagree Method 10 years ago. I was always in the gym for the wrong reasons and I finally found a workout that worked for me at any stage of my fitness journey. It was more than what it did for my body, but what it did for my mental health along with the community of likeminded people that came along with it. 

🌟 What do you want your clients to leave each workout with?

At Tone Fitness Studio you can expect to positively challenge yourself both mentally and physically. We allow you to set the Tone, with classes that can be amplified, or modified, we will always respect our client's natural ability. We want our clients to leave feeling stronger than when they walked through the doors, knowing that they just found their safe space. We are a community, we are friends, we are family and we support each other, always.

Today we are spotlighting a new Lagree studio in Bend, OR - 🙌 Owner is not new to Lagree, with over 15 years experience in the Lagree world, she brings all of her prior experience, passion, and love of Lagree to the new studio and the community of Bend, OR. 🌟Tell us briefly about you and your studio?  
I have been doing Lagree for almost 15 years on my own body and have been teaching for over 10 years now. I first started at Seafit Studio in SoCal in my late twenties.  I was doing a lot of long distance running, biking & swimming and my joints were starting to break down. I attended my first Lagree class (cocky) thinking I was in incredible shape and was quickly humbled. I signed an unlimited membership that day! I didn’t get the results I was looking for- I got better results than I had ever dreamed. In 2016, I had the opportunity to buy a studio and I jumped on it, with the hope of helping people achieve the same results and experience I had had myself. I was helping people in ways I never dreamed. When we moved to Oregon, I knew I had to bring that experience here and try to recreate a space that helps to change lives in the same way. That's what drives me, this is my passion. 

🌟 What made you originally fall in love with Lagree?
The physical results and the mental determination, and almost meditation, of completing a class and feeling better than when you started. Feeling worked out and worked hard without joint pain and discomfort. Muscle soreness but no injury. 

🌟 What do you want your clients to leave each workout with?
I want them to feel good about the way they look and feel, and who they are. And know that they tried their hardest and very best no matter if they were having an off day or their very best day ever.

⭐️ What do you love most about Lagree? 
I love that Lagree is accessible for everyone regardless of where you are on your fitness journey! Every move has modifications or more advanced variations so you get a tough workout while staying safe. It doesn't matter if you're brand new to Lagree or have been practicing for years, the Lagree method and workouts will still kick your butt every time! 

⭐️What is your favorite thing about teaching Lagree? 
My favorite thing about teaching Lagree is seeing my clients get stronger each class and pushing themselves to try some of the more challenging variations I offer. It's extremely encouraging and motivating to see members of our studio come in every week and celebrate their progress and milestones alongside them. 

⭐️What is a fun fact about you?
A little fun fact about me is that I have been to 30+ countries (I'm starting to lose count 😉) across five continents! I love traveling to new places where I can get out of my comfort zone, try new things, and meet amazing people that I'm still friends with to this day! I'm also getting married this upcoming January, so I'll be in the Urban Lagree studio even more so I can feel my best on my wedding day!

⭐️What is your favorite Mega move?
My favorite move in Lagree is the Spider Kick! I love that it's a full-body move that requires you to focus on your arms and core in addition to your legs. No matter how many times I get into this move, I still get those shakes! The slower and heavier I go really makes all the difference, and I'm always sore (in a good way!) after a class with that move in the routine.
