Read below for what Jim & Lisa have to say about their experiences working out at MCF & what it's like coming to classes together 👩❤️👨
• What's it like working out together?
(Jim): It’s great to be able to do something together after years of doing our own exercise regimens.
(Lisa): MCF classes afford us quality time together. We motivate each other to push harder. Lagree brings increased energy and satisfaction to our relationship… we're growing stronger together and loving every minute of it! Wouldn’t be the same Lagree shaking without my life teammate beside me!
• What makes MCF stand out from other studios?
(Jim): This is actually the first formal studio I have ever been a member of.
(Lisa): MCF offers a variety of power packed, full body workouts that leave you craving for more! It is a place for men and women of all fitness levels. It will elevate your performance in other exercise activities. MCF believes in me which makes me believe in myself. When your mind and body say you can’t give anymore, MCF says YOU CAN! Proper form and slow controlled movement is drilled into your workouts. I love the gut-wrenching sounds of people digging deep and “fighting for it”…it’s energizing! MCF is THE place where change happens! It demands focus and pure determination. Come as you are and MCF Will meet you there.
• What have you noticed about yourselves since joining MCF?
(Jim): Since joining MCF, I have noted an increase in core strength and weight loss. Combined with exercise and eating right, the classes have been very beneficial!
(Lisa): As a middle-aged woman, the strength I’ve gained from Lagree is unmatched! I feel balanced all over, while defining and re-shaping my muscles. The confidence I’ve gained elevates my daily life, physically and mentally. Lagree at MCF has become an integral part of my overall wellness and exercise routine.
• Do you have a favorite or least favorite class model?
(Jim): I like doing combination Fuse and Lagree classes as they stress the muscle groups that bring about desired body changes.
I would say that PSM was not my favorite for a long time, because the straps required grip strength and stress that I could not provide due to arthritis. It is much better now so I may change my mind on that in the future.
(Lisa): Lagree classes - all levels, Lagree and Fuse and Functional Fuse are my favorite classes so far. Light springs and heavy springs are equally challenging. Looking forward to the new classes coming onto the schedule soon.
• Jim, what would you say about MCF to other guys?
(Jim): If you are looking to make some fitness changes in your life, MegaCorps is it! You won’t regret it, go SLOW!
• Lisa, what does MCF mean to you?
(Lisa): It’s a community of encouraging and supportive people working out to better themselves… physically and mentally! One class and I was hooked! Mikel, Steffeny and company are top notch! I appreciate the level of their knowledge and hands-on form corrections for injury prevention and to get the most out of every workout. Lagree is effective and sustainable for all body types. I love that it hasn’t gotten easier and is never boring. Challenge yourself…WHAT are you waiting for? Come join us at MCF!

As it turns out, “feeling strong” is the best result I never knew I needed. 💪🏼
When I set out to turn my health around about three years ago, my main goal was to lose weight. I didn’t like how I looked, and I was tired of feeling discouraged with the way my clothes fit.
What I didn’t know at the time was that losing weight, liking how I look, and feeling good in my clothes are actually not the best perks of getting healthy (they are definitely perks, though!!). The best perk turns out to be how strong I’ve become—both physically and mentally. 👊🏼
Watching and feeling my strength increase through every difficult meal planning hiccup, every challenging workout, and every moment I wanted to give up is the actual high that comes from a healthy lifestyle. It’s a high that helps me face and conquer real-life challenges every day.
I hope that if you’re in a place where you want to make changes to your health but don’t know how to get started, you’ll consider chasing “strength” as a goal. Lift weights, find a resistance training program online, or join a class. The strength you gain from these workouts not only trains your muscles, but it trains your mind. And when your mind becomes stronger, it’s easier to say “no” to the unhealthy habits you’ve lived with.
