Registration is open for the 2nd annual Main Street Showdown tournament on Main Street of Burlingame Kansas. Current 26-27 season usaw cards are required. Event shirt pre orders are going to stay open till tomorrow night 8/30/26 11:59. Order your awesome event shirt and register for the tournament early. Don’t forget wile will have a male/female open division 18-25 years old and masters division 26 and up. Let’s set an example for these youth athletes that we will work hard and compete like champions.

USA Wrestling memberships are officially open for the 2026–2027 season!

Take advantage of memberships being open early and get it done now! The season will be here before we know it, and checking this off your list now means one less thing to worry about later.

Before purchasing your athlete or coach card, take a few minutes to log in and make sure all of your information is accurate and up to date.

Wrestling moms, dads, coaches and family. Are you feeling old and out of shape? Are your wrestlers giving you a hard time being past your prime? No better excuse to put in some good hard work than an opportunity to wrestle.

If you’re itching to spend some time on the mat and show these young ones that we still got it grab a usaw athlete card and register for the Mainstreet tournament. We will be running an open division for men and women 18-25 as well as a masters division 26 and older.

Registration opens September 1st for the second annual Mainstreet showdown. Come enjoy some good mat time and competition. Time to retake our youth😎 and show these kids they aren’t the only ones that can have fun, work hard and compete like true champions!!

Tshirt preorders are open till August 28th for the Main Street showdown tournament. Part of each purchase helps support Burlingame wrestling club. Order early and save. Shirts will be made to order on site but will be 25 dollars each on site. If you sign up to volunteer by August 28th we will provide you a free event t-shirt so sign up to volunteer early and get on the list!!

We have volunteer opportunities available for the Mainstreet showdown tournament. Looking to get around ten people for set up and teardown and 5-6 people for table workers. Please use the google form below to sign up.
Tournament will be September 19th at 3. Set up will begin at 11 snd teardown immediately following the tournament. Thank you and look forward to seeing everyone in a couple weeks.

Finally have all the needed info to release the flyer for the Mainstreet showdown on September 19th at 3PM. Registration will be through usabracketing and will open September 1st or slightly sooner if I can get the sanction done a few days sooner. A 26/27 season athlete card will be needed. Usaw will be allowing the 26/27 season cards to be purchased beginning August 21st so please get it done soon as possible to prepare for registration to open.

The tournament will be held at the Burlingame high school if there is weather issues.

As a whole we are targeting to build 4 man round robin brackets to get everyone as much valuable preseason mat time as possible. When looking at the matrix please be sure to remember we will be combining divisions and weights within safe reason to build these brackets.

There is also sponsorship opportunities available for the tournament and we can use volunteers as well. If you would like info on either please reach out.

Schedule Change for Sunflower State Games Saturday:

With the registration numbers we have for the sunflower games we are changing the schedule and will make it a one day tournament. If for any reason it doesn’t work for you to attend under the new schedule please feel free to email me. We will be using Madison bracketing for all events but still request you register under the most appropriate weight class in your division as this helps us pre plan brackets and make sure we can get everyone 3-4 matches per discipline. After close of registration we will review the entries and determine if everyone can be placed in a bracket. If we are not able to place you in a bracket we will notify you in Thursday and refund your entry fees. The weigh in schedule is below as well as the schedule for the day Saturday. We appreciate each and everyone that is registered and registers here this week. As always we can use volunteers and the link is below for the sign up as well.

Registration ends Wednesday June 24th at 9PM.

Weigh in schedule. On site at Washburn rural high school. Only one weigh in required and please make the earliest one you can to help us have extra time to build brackets

Friday evening 6-7:30 PM
Saturday early 6-8 AM
Saturday late(freestyle/greco only) 10-11 AM

Saturday event schedule:
Takedown 9AM
Folkstyle 10AM
Greco 1PM
Freestyle 2PM

Times may move slightly later if registration jumps before the deadline but should be very close to what is set.
