The Afford A Board Classic

Just over two weeks before the 2nd annual Afford A Board Classic. Its not to late to sponsor or get a team together. Make checks payable to Afford A Board Classic. It will be held on Sat Nov 8th at Shamrock Golf Course. Get in touch with Brian Harris or Wade Montgomery for any information needed.

The Afford A Board Classic golf tournament is in the works again so get your sticks ready and think about your best foursome. A smooth 52 brought home gold last november from Bob Lees team. Patrick M. Dempsey, Zack Zach Blaetz, Matt Page, Darren Farrar shot 54 followed by a 56 from Nick Mooneyhams team to take 2nd and 3rd place. This is a charity golf tournament for kids who cant afford a board and last year we made it possible for 20 kids to skate and ride Christmas morning. We hope to double that number this year on November 8th. Contact Wade Montgomery, Brian Harris, Lisa S. Harris or me to sponsor a hole or make donations. Thanks for coming out and we look forward to helpings many more kids out again this year.

Thanks everyone who helped us give a very Merry Christmas to some kids in need in the form of 13 skateboards and 5 bicycles from the proceeds raised at this years Afford A Board Classic!

The Afford A Board Classic was a huge success! Thanks to LOCAL and Atlantic Coast Screen Printing for organizing the 1st Annual Afford A Board Classic Charity Golf Tournament held at Shamrock Golf Course. With all the support from our sponsors and community we were able to raise money to purchase skateboards and bicycles to be donated to Fox8 gifts for kids. Special Thanks to Recess Rideshop for supplying the skateboards. Most importantly we would like to thank all the golfers and volunteers for making The Afford A Board Classic such an unforgettable golf tournament.
