Knoxville & Midwest Bobby has been racing for over 30 years.

He started in go-karts, raced a late model for a year, ran b-modifieds "back in the day" and switched to sprint cars in 1989 at Knoxville. He's a pure sprint car fan and literally eat, sleeps and breathes racing. At last count, he had over 50 sprint car feature wins and has run all classes (410s, 360s and 305s). Cole made his 410 debut at Spoon River Speedway in September 2022 where he finished 12th with the MOWA series. 2023 was scheduled to be 8-10 races around the Midwest and once or twice at Knoxville. The season started with MOWA at 34 Raceway for a two day show and then due to rainouts, he ended up making his Knoxville debut earlier than expected. Cole followed that up with another race at Knoxville for laps and then it was decided to keep him in the car instead of Dad (Bobby Mincer). He finished 17th in points and missed out on Rookie of the Year to Lachlan McHugh. Cole's sophomore season included running 410s at Knoxville Raceway season and handful of races in the Midwest. 2025 has an aggressive schedule that will add some 360 racing also.

Had a pretty good night with the POWRi 410s. Qualified 15th out of 30, won my heat race and finished 14th in the feature. Definitely could have had a couple more spots in the feature but just made a couple mistakes while running the bottom and it costed me. Other than that I drove hard all race and did the best I could. With more experience I believe we will soon be contenders for that top spot!

We also competed at West Liberty with the Sprint Invaders. Was 5th fast after all of hot laps. Finished 4th in the heat race. Then Dnf in the feature. Was having a pretty good night. Made a mistake at the start of the race and got in to the first corner really well but got caught up by slower cars ahead and it just unsettled the car and got tight, went to hit the throttle to try and get the car free again and just spun my tires and looped it. Total driver error but I ended up working my way back up to 12th before around the halfway mark of the feature the motor started to lose power coming out of turn 2 so I immediately turned it off and came into the pit. After inspecting we found it had blown up internally. Very unfortunate but that is part of racing.

Unfortunately with the motor being hurt that was the Mincer Racing teams last race of the year since our last 2 races were 360 shows. I just wanted to give a huge thank you to Brian and Lisa Ridge for allowing me to run their 360 for the last 2 years and helping me get as much seat time as possible!

Saturdays off means getting two cars ready! It is a much needed weekend of regrouping and making sure everything is ready to go for the next part of our season. We had a pretty good nationals, we where never far off, and I do believe we could had made it to some higher up main events if the Friday Hard Knox program got changed but it’s all apart of the game. We have our eyes forward and are looking to have a great night to end our Knoxville Points Championship season, and get to race some short track with the 410 and 360!

Edit: Rick & Alyson to the rescue! Rasmusson Service Center said get the truck to them tonight and they’ll have us back up and running in time!

We are actively looking for a dually truck to haul our race trailer to Knoxville and use for the Nationals. After our truck being in the shop we have found out the turbo is out of it and won’t be able to be fixed till our qualifying night on Thursday. If anyone would be willing to let us borrow and truck or know of someone who would be interested please call or text Bobby or Cole.
