The Butler Bears Baseball team will have a Baseball Camp on March 11 from 8 am to 4 pm at the Butler High School Gym for 1st through 8th graders. The cost of the camp will be $20 which includes instruction from Butler coaches and players, lunch and drink, and Bears Baseball t-shirt. You can text Coach Connell at 423-791-4303 with the player's name and shirt size.
Players are asked to bring their glove, bat, helmets, and tennis shoes. Softball players can also attend.
We will work on throwing, fielding, hitting, base running, and pitching.

The Butler Bears baseball team are selling vouchers for the games. The Vouchers are in and are on sale. The big difference this year is that the vouchers can be redeemed online. This year, they are selling Hy-Vee section vouchers for $14 and Outfield Plaza vouchers for $24. Obviously the tickets prices have gone up as everyone expected but these are still the best deal available. The out dates this year are
April 3 Mets Opening Day
May 14 Atlanta Braves
May 28 Chicago Whitesox
June 25 Houston Astros
June 27-28 Cardinals
July 22-23 Texas Rangers
August 5-6 Blue Jays
August 29-31 Yankees
They are only guaranteed 1,250 vouchers so let let them know quickly if you want some. As you can imagine, Royals tickets will go fast and the vouchers will also.
They also get to play at the K on April 30th at 9AM against Carrollton. Support the Bears baseball team by purchasing vouchers and coming to the game.

Lady Blackhawks Defeat Lady Bears

The Adrian Lady Blackhawks hosted the Lady Bears in a cross-county rivalry on Friday night. The Blackhawks continued their winning ways as they move to 4-0 on the season with the 47-38 win over the Lady Bears. The Bears played a great first half and took the 27-24 lead. The Lady Blackhawks moved closer during the slow third quarter to make it 31-30. The Lady Blackhawks outscored the Lady Bears by 10 in the fourth partially due to the Lady Bears having to foul at the end.
The Lady Bears were led in scoring by Peyton McGuire and Mady Gepford with 9 points each. Sierra Reynolds and Hally Dolbow had 5 each, McKinzie Wheatley and Bethany Davis had 4 each, and Parker Lawrence had 2 points. The Blackhawks were led in scoring by Lauren Shipley with 16 and Mallory Moles with 14. Bailey Reed had 11, Anna Walley had 4 and Sheldon Tallman had 2 points. The Lady Bears shot 32% from two point range and 56% from the free throw line. Lady Bears move to 3-3 and will host the Rich Hill Lady Tigers on Tuesday night.

Butler Lady Bears Defeat Lady Gryphons

The Butler Lady Bears hosted the Lady Gryphons from University Academy Charter school on Thursday night for their first home game. The Lady Bears scored 17 in the first quarter. The Lady Gryphons came back to outscore the Lady Bears 18-15 in the second quarter. The Lady Bears took the lead into the locker room 32-25. The Bears outscored them in the second half 29-20 to win 61-45. The Lady Bears were led in scoring by Sierra Reynolds with 21 points. Peyton McGuire and Mady Gepford had 9, Hally Dolbow with 8, Parker Lawrence with 7, Bethany Davis with 3, and Payten Heckadon and Alexis Lewis with 2 points.
Ashli Hunter had 15 points, Kahliah Hines had 14, Aliyah Hunter with 7, Samiah Hafiz with 4, Jenique Graham with 3, and Avionne Jones with 2 points. Bethany Davis had 6 points on the night.

Butler Grapplers Sweep Butler Quad

Butler hosted Adrian, Lincoln Prep, and Sherwood in a Quad Meet on Tuesday night. Butler defeated Lincoln Prep in the first meet 72-11. Adrian defeated Sherwood 54-6. Adrian defeated Lincoln Prep 57-18. Butler defeated Sherwood 66-11. Butler defeated Adrian 54-18 and Lincoln Prep defeated Sherwood 42-30.
The Butler and Adrian Cheer Squads also had exhibitions in-between the matches.
