Our first week of practice has finally arrived!

Coach Travis here with some news!

As many of you know, our team consists of 6th through 8th graders. We’re actively seeking to expand our team with a substantial number of players. Notably, some of the teams we compete against consist solely of 8th graders. As the vice president of the Patriots youth football program, I’m committed to supporting both our team and that program as well.

For 6th grade parents, there’s also a separate team that plays against 5th and 6th graders. On this team, players aren’t obligated to participate in every game. Instead, they’ll compete for playing time through practices. However, with the Pendleton Patriots youth football team, players are guaranteed playing time.

I’m providing this information as soon as possible to address any concerns about playing time. If your child is entering 6th grade and is interested in joining my team, you won’t hear me complain. I’ll coach all children and all ages. However, if you’re a parent who wants to ensure that your child’s playing time is guaranteed, this is the team for them. Competition is more manageable at the youth level.

Ultimately, the decision lies between you and your student athlete, and I will respect any choice you make. Thank you, and I look forward to an exciting football season for all programs! Let’s go Wildcats and Patriots!!
