Over the years, I’ve owned businesses, worked with entrepreneurs, and helped small-business owners think through challenges involving pricing, operations, marketing, strategy, leadership, and growth. One thing I’ve learned is that most business owners are not struggling because they are unwilling to work. Most are already working extremely hard.
The challenge is that when you are responsible for nearly everything, it can be difficult to step back, look at the business as a whole, and determine what actually needs your attention first. In other words, it's easier to see the picture from outside the frame.
That is why I’m developing two new programs; Fedrick Consulting's Growth Essentials Program and Growth Advisory Program.
𝗚𝗿𝗼𝘄𝘁𝗵 𝗘𝘀𝘀𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗮𝗹𝘀
Growth Essentials is being designed as an affordable, self-guided business-development program for owners and entrepreneurs who want practical tools, education, and a clearer path forward.
Participants will begin with the Fedrick Business Optimization Diagnostic, which evaluates key areas of the business, including:
Strategy and direction
Operations and systems
Financial health and profitability
Marketing and the customer experience
Leadership and culture
Innovation and growth
The purpose of the diagnostic is not to tell someone that everything in their business is wrong. It is meant to help identify strengths, uncover gaps, and determine which areas deserve attention first.
Growth Essentials will also include instructional resources, practical templates, business tools, guided activities, and an expanding resource library that owners can apply directly to their businesses.
The planned cost is $49.99 per month.
𝗚𝗿𝗼𝘄𝘁𝗵 𝗔𝗱𝘃𝗶𝘀𝗼𝗿𝘆
Growth Advisory will be for business owners who want more than self-guided resources. It will include access to Growth Essentials, along with ongoing group advisory sessions led by me.
These sessions will give business owners an opportunity to discuss current challenges, think through decisions, review priorities, ask questions, and receive accountability as they work to improve their businesses.
The planned cost is $129.99 per month.
Growth Essentials is still being built, and I have not officially started building the Growth Advisory Program yet. I’m not selling either program today. I’m sharing the concept now because I want local business owners and entrepreneurs to understand what I’m working on and have an opportunity to provide feedback before everything is finalized.
The overall process is simple:
Assess. Prioritize. Improve.
For the business owners and entrepreneurs in my network, which would be more valuable to you right now: practical tools and education, ongoing guidance and accountability, or a combination of both? Can't wait to hear your feedback!

We are exploring a new way to make The Young Founders Program available to more families—and we would love your feedback.
We are considering creating a seven-module online entrepreneurship program designed to help young people:
• Identify real-world problems
• Develop creative solutions
• Understand basic business fundamentals
• Build a brand
• Learn pricing and profit basics
• Create a sales pitch
• Prepare to launch or participate in a Market Day
The program could include video lessons, downloadable activities, parent resources, a student community, live support options, and opportunities to receive feedback on business ideas.
Before we build it, we want to hear directly from parents, educators, community leaders, and families.
Please take a few minutes to complete our short interest survey:

Your feedback will help us determine the best format, features, and pricing for the program.
Thank you for helping us continue building opportunities for the next generation of entrepreneurs.

Have questions about The Young Founders Program?
One of the most common misconceptions is that students must already have a business idea or previous experience before participating.
They do not.
Idea discovery and development are part of the program. Students learn how to identify problems, explore possible solutions, understand customers, develop practical business knowledge, and prepare to present their ideas during Market Day.
Along the way, they strengthen skills that extend far beyond business, including:
Problem-solving
Communication
Financial understanding
Confidence
Leadership
Persistence
Discounts and sponsorship opportunities may also be available for eligible families.
Have another question about the program? Leave it in the comments or send us a message.

Many adults do not learn how to evaluate ideas, communicate value, understand pricing, listen to customers, or respond to failure until much later in life.
Young people should not have to wait that long.
The Young Founders Program helps students practice:
Problem recognition
Clear communication
Basic financial concepts
Customer awareness
Adaptability and improvement
These are not only business skills. They are leadership, confidence, financial-literacy, and life skills.
Which one do you wish you had learned earlier?
The next program for ages 10–13 begins August 1.

Meet young founders Makayla and Makynzie Barbery, creators of Cabot Dry Guard.
They identified flooding and stormwater management as a concern in the Cabot community and developed a detailed concept combining smart sensors, green infrastructure, resident protection kits, community participation, and multiple service options.
Their project demonstrates what happens when young people are encouraged to identify real problems, develop possible solutions, and communicate their ideas to others.
Young founders do not have to wait until adulthood to make meaningful contributions.
What community problem would your child want to solve? Ask them and let us know in the comments. 👇
