Remembering that time back in August when we had a little skateboard heist at Another V**e Shop.

A teenager came in, casually checked out our skateboards, and waited until our employee was busy helping another customer to make his move.

And by big move, I mean stuffing an entire skateboard up his shirt and shimmying his way out the door. 🛹💀

Yes. An ENTIRE skateboard. Under his shirt. Like nobody would notice.

Spoiler alert: We noticed.

Our employee called me immediately, I checked the cameras, and sure enough, there he was making his not-so-smooth getaway.

So we got to work being detectives.

We eventually tracked down the skateboard at the skate park, where it had already been put to good use. Because apparently we offer free test rides now. 🙃

But wait, there’s more!

We ended up finding our little skateboard enthusiasts mom. And thankfully, Mom did the right thing and came into the store to pay for the skateboard.

So, shoutout to Mom for making things right. We appreciate that!

Moral of the story: We’re a small business, not a free skateboard rental service. And if you’re going to try sneaking something out under your shirt, maybe don’t pick something with four wheels that’s practically the length of your torso. 💀😂

Never a dull moment around here. 🛹🤦‍♀️
