This morning the Nobel Prize in Economics was awarded to Claudia Goldin for "having advanced our understanding of women's labour market outcomes". Dr. Goldin is a leading figure in both Labor Economics and Economic History, with a rigorous and unique approach to empirical economics.

In conjunction with the College of Business Global and Ethical Awareness Committee, the WT Economics Club will be meeting today (April 13th) at 1:00 PM in CC 433. This is relevant to many questions regarding banking topics that Dr. Mattson has brought up in ECON 4312, Money and Banking, regarding bank runs and failures and regulation.
