🧤 GOALKEEPER ACADEMY IS BACK AND BETTER THAN EVER!

We’re excited to kick off the Fall 2026 SEMO ELITE FC Goalkeeper Academy with our biggest investment into the program yet!

This fall, SEMO ELITE FC will 100% subsidize the cost for participating goalkeepers, making the six-week Academy program $0 for our players! This represents a significant investment by the club specifically into goalkeeper development.

And we aren’t just covering the cost—we’re increasing our investment in the program:

🧤 Coach Mac returns for his 3rd Academy season
🙌 D1 SEMO Women’s Soccer goalkeeper Madison Geisler joins the training staff
🏟️ Training upgraded to the indoor turf at Cape Sportsplex
📈 Expanded from 5 weeks to 6 weeks
⚽ Specialized training for U9–U14 Boys & Girls

We believe goalkeeper is a specialized position that deserves specialized development, and we’re excited to provide our keepers with an even better environment this fall!

Investing In People. Investing In Our Future.

As SEMO ELITE FC enters its 15th year, we’re beginning to see something exciting happening within the soccer community of Southeast Missouri.

A generation of players who grew up playing the game here, became local high school standouts, continued their careers at the collegiate level, and are now returning home ready to give back to the game and help develop the next generation.

Today, we’re excited to welcome one of those young coaches.

👏 WELCOME TO THE COACHING STAFF, WIL ESSNER!

Wil will serve as Head Coach of our 13/14B Academy White team.

A 2022 Jackson High School graduate, Wil had an outstanding local playing career before continuing at Columbia College, where he became a team captain and earned 2× AMC All-Conference and 2× AMC All-Tournament honors.

His playing résumé also includes a High School State Championship, State Runner-Up finish, All-American and Bilbao All-American honors, 2× All-State, Class 4 Co-Offensive Player of the Year, Region 2 Player of the Year, 3× All-Conference, 3× All-District and SEMO Ball Player of the Year, along with club experience at St. Louis Scott Gallagher.

But “Building the Next Generation” is about more than playing résumés.

One of our major initiatives is identifying talented & passionate young coaches, giving them meaningful opportunities, surrounding them with experienced leaders, and investing in their development.

Because the young coaches we’re bringing into the club today can become the coaches and leaders who shape soccer in Southeast Missouri for the next 15 years.

Players become coaches.
Coaches become mentors.
Mentors develop what’s next.

For 15 years, SEMO ELITE FC has worked to create opportunities and grow the game in our region. Our next chapter is about making sure the people are in place to carry that work forward.

We’re not simply building teams for the next season.

We’re building the next generation of players, coaches and leaders for Southeast Missouri soccer.

🔥 2 Big Wins in their SLYSA Premier Division debut today for these hard working girls! They’ve been anxiously waiting for this opportunity as they’ve spent the entire past year developing in our in house Future Elite’s training only program.
