IT’S SENIOR WEEK! congrats to the Class of 2026! We want to take a moment to highlight our seniors. Wrapping up the seniors are our captains. Next up, #3 Guard, Rollin Smokey
Rollin’s inspirations include his dad for always pushing him to be better, and his family for showing up for all of his games.
Rollin loves basketball because it makes him forget about what’s happening outside the game. Whether it is a crappy day or the best day, basketball makes him feel so much better

When asked about Rollin, coaches commented on his selfless ability to be a role model and support for everyone.
Coach Thacker says, “Rollin has given this program many years of selfless work. No excuses, no ego, just commitment to everyone around him”.
Coach Emm adds, “Rollin is a consistent calming presence. We talk about finding the calm in rough seas and he is the epitome of that. He helps everyone center and steady a rocking ship.
Schierholt: Rollin, wow!!! A young man who is program first and is our calm, yet fierce competitor. Your ability to lead by action is this groups most valuable asset. It has been a real privilege and pleasure to watch you lead and inspire all around you! Your work ethic is second to none!

Rollin, thank you for making us better with every step. Our program is better because of your example.

IT’S SENIOR WEEK! congrats to the Class of 2026! We want to take a moment to highlight our seniors. Wrapping up the senior are our captains. First up, #1 Guard, Trent Ipsen.
Trent’s inspiration is his mom because she shows him what hard work and dedication look like. She always encourages him to persevere and helps him fight against adversity. Trent loves basketball because it gives him a space where he can go out and have fun with his teammates. It also helps him create new bonds with people. Basketball is always there for him, whenever he needs it.

When asked about Trent, coaches talked about trust and leadership. Coach Emm says, “Trent is the type of player who you want their ball in his hands at the last moments of a game. He has the confidence to carry a team. He’s a guy who pushes everyone around him to be better.
Coach Thacker added, “Over the years, Trent didn’t just grown his game, he grew into a leader who makes everyone around him stronger and smarter!”
Message from Coach Schierholt: Ohhhhh Trent-o!! Where do I start: a fragile, gentle baby just a few years ago, you have transformed to be not only a shooter(after years of being told to shoot) but a leader to those around you. A steward of the game and a craftsman of his own. You are a guy with the right mindset that we all want at critical moments in any game.

Trent, your growth and love of the game do not go unnoticed. Thanks for leading our team this season in many ways.

Coach Schierholt’s message: Nate!! My man, a real class act. Your well versed song lyrics you introduced me to will be cherished. Now to the upbeat motion that has led you to be a key part of this senior group. Anything that is asked of you, you are ready for any moment, and it’s never too big for you. From watching you in football as we ran the chain gang, to coaching you through the years in basketball, you continue to demonstrate that you are the definition of a team player.
