The Boston attacks are even more personal for fellow runners, and in the tragedy that unfolded the response that followed shows the true strength of our community. After the bombs went off there were people running towards the explosion to help others, there was a massive outpouring of compassion and selflessness. Thousands of Bostonians opened their homes and kitchens to those misplaced by the explosions, and we have been flooded with accounts and personal stories from those running the marathon, as well as those volunteering or spectating at the event. The one thing that is sure is the Boston Marathon will continue, and that we, as a community, a nation, and a movement will stand stronger as a result of what has happened.
Our deepest thoughts and prayers go out to everyone affected by these events.
