One of my rules when traveling is to make a stop at a national park whenever I can. Get to visit South Carolina’s Congaree National Park.
The boardwalk winds through an incredible old-growth bottomland forest, with towering trees, cypress knees, and enough green to make you forget about the rest of the world for a while. Get outside. Take the scenic route. See what’s out there.

South Carolina just took down Tennessee, and the place absolutely LOST ITS MIND.

I’ve seen some wild things in the woods, but 80,000 football fans storming the field is a whole different kind of wildlife.

Gamecocks came to play. Tennessee came to regret it.

Happy trails, and GO C***S! 🤙

One of my favorite EDC tantos is making a return, and this time we’ve switched things up.

The new graphics started with a sketch I drew while out in the Idaho wilderness, and we’ve paired them with some seriously good-looking marble carbon fiber scales.

Same Mettle Lord you know, with a fresh look and a little more attitude.

Back in stock and ready for the next adventure.

Head over to gritknives.com and grab one before they’re gone again.

Happy trails,
Chuck

One of my favorite shops in Carmel, VNTNA Supply Co., just got a fresh batch of Grit Knives. 👊

I put together a new collaboration order, and the Hendrik is back in stock!

VNTNA is the only retail store where you can buy Grit Knives, so if you’re in Carmel, stop by, grab a new shirt, and pick up a knife while you’re there. They’ve got great gear, a killer shop, and a crew that gets it.

Tell them Chuck sent you.

THREE KNIVES ARE BACK IN STOCK.

The holiday restock continues. Just added fresh batches of three Grit Knives favorites back to the website.

The Buckner is back for those looking for an affordable, all-around hunting folder.

The Beckwourth is back, too. One of my favorite compact fixed blades, with a nice fat belly that makes it right at home in the field.

And The Colter is back with its updated graphics, featuring a design I actually drew while sitting out hunting in Idaho.

Three different knives, three good reasons to get back outside.

All three are available now at Grit Knives. With more holiday restocks on the way, keep an eye on the website.

And if you want first crack at future drops, join the mailing list. I always give subscribers a heads-up before announcing new releases on social media.

Happy trails!

THE COLTER IS COMING BACK. WITH A NEW LOOK.

Next up in the holiday restocks is the Colter, a great all-around fixed blade that’s equally at home in camp, in the field, or riding along on your next adventure.

I switched up the graphics on this batch, and here’s a little detail I like. I actually drew the new design while I was sitting out hunting in Idaho last week. Apparently, even when I’m supposed to be looking for deer, I’m still thinking about knives.

The Colter is dropping later this week.

I’ll give the mailing list the first heads-up, so if you want to know when it lands, make sure you’re signed up.

More coming soon.

BACK FROM IDAHO. BACK TO THE WORKBENCH.

I’m back from the mule deer hunt and spending the day in the shop getting ready for the next round of drops.

A lot of Grit Knives is still sold out, but I’ve got new inventory on the way and a few things in the works. Time to get back to making stuff.

HOT TIP: Join the Grit Knives mailing list if you want to know what’s coming and when. I always give the email list first crack at new drops before I announce them on social media. And lately, things have been moving pretty quickly.

More to come. For now, back to work.

Eight days in Idaho, dark to dark, putting in the miles. The deer weren’t exactly cooperating, but the people I met along the way made the trip worthwhile.

I crossed paths with three California hunters who welcomed me into camp, shared intel, and made those long days a whole lot more fun. One guy had already tagged out and still took the time to share a bunch of his OnX pins with me. That’s the kind of generosity you don’t forget.

There’s something special about sitting around a warm campfire at the end of a long day, swapping stories, talking hunting, and sharing what you’ve learned along the way. We’re all out there chasing the same thing, but it’s the people you meet along the way that make the experience.

Didn’t come home with a deer, but I came home with a few new friends and a reminder of what this hunting community is all about.

Good people. Good stories. Warm campfires. That’s a pretty good consolation prize.

Eight days Idaho , dark to dark, solo. A lot of miles, a lot of glassing, and a whole lot of time to think. Be back on Monday to start rebuilding the stock for the holidays. Lots of drops coming in the next few weeks.
