Cape Fear Flyers

Cape Fear Flyers Cape Fear Flyers is a, 100% volunteer run 501c(3), USATF sanctioned AAU affiliated junior olympic youth running club.

We operate for 2 seasons a year Track and Field (Spring/Summer) and Cross Country (Fall). Cape Fear Flyers provides children ages 6-18 of all socioeconomic levels a safe, affordable , team~centric environment enabling them to foster and sustain competitive excellence, interest, and participation in track and field, cross country, and race-walking while teaching them proper technique to maximize speed and agility in any sport. As a USATF sanctioned and AAU affiliated Junior Olympic Running Club, Cape Fear Flyers NC Inc. is a 501(c)3 not for profit organization with a Silver Seal of Transparency with GuideStar.

49 Cape Fear Flyers competed at Wilmington Beach Blast on September 12. 29 Flyers were alumni competing with their school teams and 20 current Flyers some running in their first meet ever. It was quite the event and we are amazed at the levels our Flyers are reaching in this sport.

20 Flyers kicked off their season yesterday at Wilmington Beach Blast Invitational. A few of our older Flyers also competed with their middle school teams. Several Flyer Alumni ran in the High School races on their school teams.
