CFBBA Diamondbacks had no trouble on offense today, winning big over Falcons - Nussmeier 9-1

Falcons - Nussmeier knotted the game up at one in the bottom of the second inning. An error scored one run for Falcons - Nussmeier.

CFBBA Diamondbacks pulled away for good with four runs in the third inning. In the third Mark Rojas singled on a 0-1 count, scoring one run, Matthew Stone drew a walk, scoring one run, and Max Bermudez drew a walk, scoring one run.

Rojas was the winning pitcher for CFBBA Diamondbacks. The righty surrendered one run on one hit over four innings, striking out eight. Alec Duran threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen.

marolo s took the loss for Falcons - Nussmeier. The hurler lasted two and two-thirds innings, allowing one hit and five runs while striking out six.

Rojas led CFBBA Diamondbacks with two hits in two at bats.

CFBBA Diamondbacks Grabs Lead in Fourth Inning to Defeat Red Sox

CFBBA Diamondbacks stole the lead late and defeated Red Sox 8-2 on Tuesday. The game was tied at one with CFBBA Diamondbacks batting in the top of the fourth when Alec Duran tripled on a 1-2 count, scoring one run.

CFBBA Diamondbacks secured the victory thanks to six runs in the fourth inning. CFBBA Diamondbacks batters contributing to the big inning included Duran, Mark Rojas, Garrett Wigand, Zachary Karnes, and Michael Stepaniak, who each had RBIs in the inning.

Red Sox opened up scoring in the first inning.

Playoffs start tonight vs Red Sox.

Today is our season finale. We appear locked in a tie for fourth place. Today the Red Sox play the top team in the division and our Diamondbacks play against the team at the bottom of the standings.

A win and loss by the Red Sox breaks the tie and sets up the playoffs with a round one home game vs the Red Sox. It also ends the regular season with a winning record.

We will have all our top players for the playoff games which will make things interesting.

CFBBA Diamondbacks Clinches Lead in Fourth Inning to Defeat Wolfpack

CFBBA Diamondbacks snatched the lead late in the game in a 3-2 victory over Wolfpack on Sunday. CFBBA Diamondbacks was down 2-1 in the bottom of the fourth inning when Mark Rojas doubled on a 1-0 count, scoring two runs.

The pitching was strong on both sides. CFBBA Diamondbacks pitchers struck out 11, while Christian sat down 13.

Tyler Johnson led things off on the pitcher's mound for CFBBA Diamondbacks. Johnson surrendered two runs on two hits over four innings, striking out seven.

Christian was on the hill for Wolfpack. The pitcher surrendered three runs on four hits over five innings, striking out 13.

Rojas led CFBBA Diamondbacks with two hits in two at bats.

Fun weekend of baseball for our D-Backs. We went 1-1 in bracket play yesterday and were 7 seed which landed us in the Silver Bracket. We had a rematch with the Wolfpack and won a close game 3-2 with Tyler earning the win and Mark driving in the winning run with a 2 RBI double and pitching the last 2 innings scoreless for the save.

In the Silver Bracket Championship Game the D-Backs jumped out to a 2-0 lead before the game was later tied 2-2. The D-Backs fought for a 3-2 lead but lost the lead at the bottom of the third. The Southlake Dragons (a select team) added one more run making the final score 5-3.

Proud of my boys for a fun filled weekend of baseball. The boys earned some bling.

HANDSHAKES & HIGH FIVES

The CFBBA Diamondbacks won tonight 8-3 on a combined 1 hitter. There were 8 walks and 10 k’s along with a little sloppy play in the field early in the game that kept this game close at 5-3 in the 3rd inning.

Mark had 2 HR and 6 RBI to lead the team offensively and he broke the game open with his second HR resulting in the final score of 8-3.

Tyler had a solid 3 inning start allowing 2 runs (1 earned) with 7 k’s. Garrett pitched an inning in relief allowing 1 run with 1k and Matthew finished it off with a clean inning in relief with 2k’s.

Nash, Tyler, Mark, Garrett and Preston each had 2 hits and Max & Rhy each added a hit.

The Generals played good defensively only committing 1 error but the Diamondbacks hitting was the difference in the game.

Next up is the CFBBA Spring Ring Tournament and a tough first game matchup against the first placed Falcons.
