Our annual Miss Mount Zion pageant was held yesterday! We loved seeing all of the confidence, poise, and smiles from our beautiful contestants.

Today we celebrate our senior basketball cheerleader and captain, Kaydence Moore!
Kaydence says:
❤️My favorite cheer memory is when the entire school gets excited during the games.
❤️I will miss hanging with my friends before the games the most.
❤️My plan after high school is to go to UNG and get a degree in special education to teach deaf and hard of hearing children.

This week our cheerleader of the week is Freshman, Eva Bello! Eva is a hard worker on and off the mats. She is dedicated to becoming stronger and a better cheerleader. She has grown so much this year and we are proud to have her! Congratulations Eva!

This week our cheerleader of the week is Junior, Haven Shelton!! Haven works hard, pushes herself, and always steps up when it is time. She loves her team and always shows up when anyone needs anything. She is reliable, hardworking, and such an asset to our team. Thank you for everything you do Haven! We’re honored to call you one of our girls!

We cannot even begin to express how proud of our girls we are! With injuries and routine changes, our girls laid their hearts out on the mat today! We are blessed with such an amazing squad of young women! Huge shoutout to all the parents who came to support them today and have cheered them on after hard practices. We couldn’t do it without you! Another shoutout to our school! We had our football team come out and support us, and I can’t even begin to tell you how much it means to our girls!! Go Eagles!

This week our cheerleader of the week is freshman Ava Cannon! Ava has stepped up tremendously this year. Walking on as a freshman flyer is tough in itself, but she has taken all of the advice we have given her with a positive attitude. There’s so much potential in Ava and we can’t wait to see how she grows as a cheerleader and woman! So thankful to have you Ava!!

This week was a very eventful week for MZ, but especially for our MZHS cheerleaders. We have had injuries, changes to our routine, and REC night. We are proud of all of our girls, but our two cheerleaders of the week were not hard to choose!
Our first cheerleader of the week is Kaitlen Chard! Kaitlen has been there every moment we have needed her. She has stepped into different roles throughout our season with a positive attitude and pushed herself physically and mentally. She also looks beautiful on Friday nights! She always has a smile on her face, and she worked super hard to make our little eagles feel special this Friday! We are lucky to have you!
Our second cheerleader is Brooklynn Olive. Brooklynn is such a hard worker and an awesome base. Due to injuries, she had to do something she has never done- FLY! She has done an INCREDIBLE job. We are super proud of her! We can tell how much she loves this team and see how hard she’s willing to work to make the team better. We are super thankful for you Brook!

This week we have 2 cheerleaders of the week that we want to recognize!
Our first cheerleader is freshman, Kiley Rogers! Kiley has been super dedicated this season and really shows her Eagle pride! She was chosen by one of our captains (Belle Ankerich) to step into a leadership role during our JV cheerleading game! We are proud of you and to call you one of our girls.
Our second cheerleader is sophomore, Gimena Mendoza! This week she has stepped into a new role on our mat and has truly mastered the part. We see all of your hard work, patience, spirit, and love for this team. We are so proud to have you on our MZHS team!
