Hi Special Olympics Wyoming - Casper!

With Summer Sports Classic just a couple of weeks away, practices for Fall Area Games (September) and State Fall Tournament (October 7-9) will be starting soon, and registration is now open.

If you would like to compete in the fall season, please fill out the interest form linked below so you can get connected with your team to start practicing! Please share this information with anyone else who might be interested.

Sports offered for the Casper team for the 2026 fall season
• Bowling
• Bocce (TBD)
• Cycling (TBD)
• Soccer

Athletes are limited to one sport at Fall Tournament. The only exception is that athletes may compete in both Bocce and Cycling.

Bocce and cycling are still TBD. We are polling how much interest there is to build a team. There are no guarantees that there will be one.

This meeting is to discuss the year-round team and program, so it's not just for fall sports. Please register through the link below so we know who to expect and can plan for food. Share this post with everyone as not all athletes/families have Facebook!

Location: NOWCAP Services (345 N. Walsh Drive)
We'll provide complimentary pizza, veggies, drinks, and cookies.

During the meeting, we'll discuss:
• Current sports updates and a look ahead to the fall season
• The future vision for the Casper Local Program
• Volunteer, coaching, and leadership opportunities
• Ways to get involved throughout the year
• What makes a strong and successful local program
• Fundraising and financial support opportunities
• Team communication and staying connected
• Questions, ideas, and feedback from attendees

Bowling starts today! 🎳

🎳 Great news, everyone! 🎳

Bowling season officially starts Saturday, June 6 at 3:30 PM!

Practices will continue every Saturday at 3:30 PM throughout the season, with no practice on the July 4th holiday weekend.

Please also mark your calendars for the Summer Sports Classic bowling tournament weekend:

Bowling is typically our biggest sport each year, with 40–50 athletes participating! Coaches Ben, Vicki, and Clint do a tremendous job leading the program, and we are so thankful for them. 💙

That said, with a group this size, we can always use more help! If anyone is interested in helping as:
• an assistant coach
• a unified partner
• or an official volunteer

please get in touch — we’d love to have you involved.

And for companions, caregivers, and family members already helping behind the scenes during practices: thank you! Please reach out to me as well so we can help get you registered as an official volunteer.

2026 TAC Athlete-sign-up

Effective immediately, the Special Olympics Wyoming state office will be taking over as the local coordinator for the Special Olympics Wyoming – Casper team. We will be reaching out to coaches and known management team members directly to discuss this transition. Due to access issues, please fill out this new Google Form to provide your information for the upcoming Summer Sports Classic season. If you had filled out the Google Form that was recently posted, please fill out this new form as well.
