Imagine this: you're at the grocery store and see a mom with a restless, fussy toddler. You have a thought to go up to her and tell her she's a good mom, to stay strong, and remind her that she's got this.

Now imagine this: a young mom woke up to a crying toddler this morning. She's exhausted because that same toddler woke up 5 times through the night. She can't figure out why he won't sleep and nothing she does seems to soothe his tears. Breakfast is a disaster. He won't stop crying and she's holding back her own tears. Food is on the floor so she bends down to clean it up he throws his whole plate of food on the floor and hits her head with the plate. It hurts. But even more, her feelings are hurt. She's tired so she overreacts and snaps at her baby boy. Guilt and shame come flooding in and she can no longer hold back the tears. As the tears stream down her face, she decides in that moment that she must be a terrible mom.

Later that day, she goes to the grocery store. She's at her whits end and embarrassed. Not by her son but that she can't control her son's behavior. She knows everyone must be judging her parenting... and the thought that she must be a terrible mom is reinforced.

And then a stranger walks up to her and says, "You're a good mom. Stay strong, mama. You've got this."

This is how God uses us to be His hands, feet, and voice. Other people's blessings are tied to your obedience. 💕

Next time you feel a nudge to say something kind to someone, say it. It's probably exactly what they need to hear.

I think one of the biggest lies we believe is that anxiety is only a mental health issue.

As Christians, we know it's also a spiritual battle.

I love that Scripture doesn't just tell us, "Don't be anxious." It tells us what to do instead.

Bring it to God in prayer.

Thank Him, even before you see the answer.

Fill your mind with what is true, honorable, pure, lovely, and praiseworthy.

God never asks us to ignore what we're feeling. He invites us to bring it to Him and exchange our anxiety for His peace.

If you're walking through an anxious season today, know this: you're not alone, and there is hope. One small step of obedience toward God is more powerful than one more hour of spiraling in your thoughts.

"Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things." - Phil 4:6-8 (NIV)
