This weekend we had a fantastic rodeo event with the boys! Cainan rode one of his best rides on a bull who had a very unpredictable go out! Grandpa even made it to cheer for them and enjoy the day with us!
At the end of Cainan’s ride, he showed his love and appreciation to his wonderful girlfriend Amber; who has been there to support him at practices, workouts, and his c**t training exercises. We are all so blessed to have her in our family.
It was a beautiful weekend of family time and fun together 💙💙💙

At only his second rodeo ever and 3 1/2 months since he started riding, Cai won the Henry Wilson Bulls and Buckles!

Ednei Camhinas were the Champions tonight in the Junior and Open Bull riding.

A couple great practice rides for the boys! Both these endings are hard to watch for us, but they are learning rough dismounts are part of the game!

The boys very first rodeo ever, after only 3 1/2 months of riding and both covered scoring a 69.5 and a 69 to secure 2nd and 3rd place!
Cainan got his first check as well!
We are so excited for them to put all their hard work to the test and come out with qualified rides.

BCR’s Stackalicious produced a stunning Grulla stud c**t Tripp, at High Country Equine this year! He’s turning out to be one stellar little prospect! We are so excited about this cross and where he’s headed 🖤🖤🖤

This is one of the coolest accidents I’ve ever produced gardening! Huitlacoche also known as corn Truffle is a Mexican delicacy that I have managed to get two of this year!
It does in fact taste exactly like truffle with more sweetness and lingering earthiness. I’ve gotten probably a hundred pounds of fruit and vegetables from my small garden so far this year and this is by far what I’m the most proud of!

This week Cainan had his most incredible bull ride so far! In just 2 1/2months since he started this all, he has developed some serious riding ability! He decided to put those skills to the test on the toughest bull at practice and showed us all exactly how talented he is!
We are so thankful to everyone there for their cheers and support of our oldest boy💙💙💙

BCR has spent the week in Canada and Minnesota to honor one of the most amazing people we have had the pleasure to be a part of our lives. If you have known us in the last 13 years, you either had heard a lot about Midge or met her!
A year after meeting her and her husband Dan, we asked them to be the boys chosen Grandparents. They and their daughter Nicole became the family we had always wanted, and are truly the greatest blessing we desperately hoped for.

Midge had one of the most influential roles in the boys childhood and taught them many life lessons and shared countless and priceless wisdom with them both. She loved them as her own in a way most people never get to be loved. As an avid fisherwoman, one of her favorite skills was teaching the boys to fish. It has become one of the many things she taught them, that they have grown to love deeply.
Thank you so much to Dan and Nicole for including us in the honorary fishing expedition and a week of memorializing one of the most incredible people we get to call family.
We truly love you Midge❤️

Thanks to Chris always buying me new kitchen toys, like this grinder and sausage stuffer, we made our very first batch of sausage!
This mix is a home blend of venison taken by Cainan last fall and pork belly from our heritage hogs we raised. Added a bunch of jalapeños from the garden and heavily seasoned with salt, pepper, paprika, raw garlic and onions then smoked for about an hour
