🏆 The End of an Era.

Every great chapter eventually comes to a close. And they closed this chapter with another VICTORY!

After six incredible seasons together, one of the most successful groups in Kenston Fastpitch history has played its final game as a team.

This group captured 10U, 12U, and 14U championships, completed an undefeated season, finished one season 34-6, and accumulated well over 250 wins. But their legacy extends far beyond the trophies.

They played the game the right way.

They competed until the final out, regardless of the score. They battled through adversity, celebrated each other’s successes, pushed through injuries, and represented Kenston with heart, grit, and class every time they stepped on the field.

Head Coach Jesse Baugher reflected on the journey:

“Nothing will ever top coaching this group. We shared six years of blood, sweat, tears, victories, setbacks, and unforgettable memories. They never quit, they always battled to the very end, and they showed what it means to play the game the right way. My heart breaks that this chapter is over, but I couldn’t be more proud of what these girls accomplished together.”

Thank you to everyone who has registered—or is considering registering—for Kenston Fastpitch tryouts.

Due to the forecast for thunderstorms and concerns about air quality, the Kenston Fastpitch Association has made the decision to cancel this weekend’s tryouts.

Both Saturday’s scheduled tryouts and Sunday’s makeup tryouts have been canceled.

Make up dates will be

Wednesday July 22nd
6-8 pm
Kenston Girls Varsity Field

Tuesday July 28th
6-8 pm
Kenston Girls Varsity Field

For those who have already attended tryouts, our intent is that this schedule change will not delay the roster selection process. We remain committed to the timeline established by the Board and anticipate finalizing rosters as planned, with team offers being sent no later than 8:00 PM on Friday, July 31.

We appreciate your patience and understanding as we prioritize the safety of our players, families, coaches, and volunteers.

The 12U White team continued gearing up for the season today with a scrimmage against the Twinsburg Tigers. While the scoreboard didn’t land in their favor, the day was packed with growth, grit, and valuable game-time experience as these girls continue building toward opening day.

There were plenty of bright spots on the field! Danna Somich found her groove in the circle and showed dominance on the mound, attacking hitters with confidence and command. Piper Myers turned patience into production, taking her walk and turning it into a hustle double with smart, heads-up baserunning. And Evelyn Spiert came up big at shortstop, spearing a line drive and taking away extra bases with a huge defensive play.

This scrimmage was exactly what preseason is all about—learning, adjusting, and sharpening the little things. From aggressive baserunning to working through a four-pitcher rotation…the foundation is being built. The season is right around the corner, and this team is putting in the work to be ready! 🥎💪🔥

Join us for the BOMBER SOFTBALL CAMP, June 8-11, 2026, at Kenston Softball Field!

Open to girls entering grades 1st-8th (2026/2027 school year), this camp is your chance to learn the game the Kenston Bomber way! Led by Coach Dubovec and the Varsity Softball team, you’ll work on throwing, catching, hitting, base running, and even get introduced to pitching and catching—all while having a blast!

👧 Grades: 1-8
📅 Dates: June 8-11, 2026
📍 Where: Kenston Softball Field
🕑 Who: Girls passionate about softball!

Bring your cleats, helmet, bat, glove, and water—and get ready to level up your game! Players grouped by age/grade for skill stations.
