Jack Flaherty is having a great spring so can he break out at the age of 23? He throws strikes with good command and mixes his pitches well. He’s also improved his slider and changeup while learning how to change speeds more. He used the slider vs. lefties last year for better success. And the changeup looks unhittable this spring.

Byron Buxton is having a great spring and could be poised for a rebound after a horrible season last year. He stole 38 bases just two years ago. He has displayed power, speed and defensive excellence but needs to carry that over into the regular season. He worked hard over the winter and it really shows; he looks bigger and stronger. Now he needs to avoid the injury bug and stay consistent.
