Such a blessing to have this experience! Didn’t end the way we would have liked, but I’m proud of these boys for finishing top 8 out of 30. Such a privilege to coach these boys, make new friendships and create memories of a lifetime! 🏝⚾️🌊✈️

Opening Ceremonies and Skills Competition went great! Boys finished 3rd in the ”turn two” and 1st in the “outfield relay.” Team lunch and now it’s time to rest up before our first pool game tonight!

Canyon Thunder is continuing to raise money for our trip this summer to The Cal Ripken Experience in Myrtle Beach, SC this summer!

(Late post)..Congratulations to Mack “Mack Daddy” Ellingson for making the PG All-Tournament Team. Well deserved and extremely proud of him. Pretty good numbers for 2 games.

Tournament didn’t end the way we’d like. That’s Baseball sometimes. But thank you to all the wonderful families for making the trip out to SoCal. Boys created life long memories, played some good ball and had fun. That’s what it’s all about!! Already looking forward to Vegas in November. Go Thunder!!

1-Day Tournament before heading to Orange County, CA next weekend to play some really tough competition. The boys continue to work hard and I am proud of their attitude and effort!!

Our weekend got cut short with the rain this past weekend so we were only able to play two games. However we want to give a shout out to our guys Mack Ellingson and Cash Sowa for cracking the Top 25 Performers at the plate in Perfect Game Fall National Championship!

Also a big congratulations to Cash for being a Top 5 Performer for his pitching!

Way to go boys!! Keep grindin’!!

AZ Slam Baseball is pleased to announce we’ve made the move over to Canyon Thunder. We are thrilled for this amazing opportunity!! We’d like to thank Paul Panaccione and the Thunder Staff for this opportunity and welcoming us in to the Thunder Family. What an incredible opportunity for the boys to be apart of a program that’s an extension of GCU Baseball with access to GCU Coaches, facilities and former players. Canyon Thunder is player first program focused on development and getting athletes to the next level. So incredibly thankful and excited for our boys & their future. Go Thunder!!!

It’s always a heartbreaker when you make it to the championship game and come up short… but these boys have nothing to hang their heads about. This week they went 6-1. They were first place overall in the Team skills competition, homerun derby, pitching velocity, 60 yard dash and around the horn. To top it off congratulations to Ace Sapp and Gabe McDowell for being selected to play in the Youth Baseball All American Games.

I want to give a huge shout out to all of the parents and families who made the sacrifice to get their boys here. We have an incredible and I am deeply grateful for the love and support you have given these boys and this team. It’s been a great 2020-2021 season! GO SLAM!!!

Day 2 Youth Baseball Nationals boys went 2-0 against teams from Nevada and California. They finished their night off under the lights!

4-0 for pool play with one more to go before bracket play. I could not be more proud of the team effort!!

These boys went 4-0 this weekend in the Arizona Premiere Cactus Classic. Big shout out to Kash Sylvester and Brodee Martin with their first home runs of the year. Cash Sowa with a homerun, Brody Booth with two home runs and big Vaughn Franklin with four bombs. These boys work hard and it is such a privilege to watch them grow.
