Shoshin Ryu is a classical Martial Art that focuses on stand-up Self Defense and personal development. It is a mix of Taekwondo, Japanese Jujutsu, Judo, Karate, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, and Weapons to provide you realistic Self Defense. It works against strikes, grabs, weapons, and ground attacks. Shoshin Ryu is good for all ages; from 5 years old to 85 years old. When you start training with us, you will see early results, yet it's a lifetime of learning.

Nationals – Shoshin Ryu
Pre-registration is now open for the Shoshin Ryu Nationals (summer conference) that our school will be hosting 17-21 July 2019 in D.C. This is the first time our school is hosting Nationals and we will probably not rotate through our area again for another 5+ years. Take advantage of the opportunity to train with Shoshin Ryu’s most dedicated instructors and students. You will learn three months’ worth of material within four days of focused training.

Attached are pictures from Shoshin Ryu's 25th annual summer conference called "Nationals". 63 practitioners flew from all over the U.S. to learn and grow their art over a four day conference in St. Paul, Minnesota. Next year, our school accepted the honor of hosting Shoshin Ryu's Nationals in VA/DC.
