The following upsets Coach Murphy: poorly run penalty plays on the opposition goal line that were the wrong call in the first place, kicks for touch that stay inbounds, questions being asked that have already been answered, questions when if even the least bit of thought were attempted the answer would be apparent to the questioner, questions to which Coach Murphy could not possibly know the answer to, giggling in the back of the line, a poorly run warm-up lap, a player getting a cramp, losing to other Virginia teams on Virginia soil (this is our state), an offside penalty by one guy when the rest of the team had a perfect junkyard, penalties, lack of timely responses to emails, a foolish, unsupported weak side run that goes into touch, turnovers,

Yo, this is Coach Murphy. Randomly logging on in May 2022.
I'm hearing rumors of a potential reunion of the 2013 state championship team next year, built around the various HS 10-year reunions. Of course, all NOVA HS guys would be welcome.
We shall see if any of it becomes reality.
Remember, visualize and hydrate.

NOVA Alumni,
For those who were teammates with Sam Conner or knew him during his time at NOVA, we have been asked to leave post some fond memories or words about him for his family.
For those who have not heard, our brother Sam passed away earlier this week and his memorial was this morning. Sam played wing, flyhalf, center and fullback during his seasons with us and was a great teammate, totally committed player and gave all of himself on the field. Sam was a top notch tackler, a gutsy player and a great runner.
Please leave your words here: - http://adamsgreen.com/tribute/details/4055/Samuel-Conner/obituary.html -start

We will meet at Oakton High School at 11 a.m. Saturday!!!
This is a NON-CONTACT clinic to work on some ball handling, introduce the game to new players and reintroduce the game to returning players. Time is from 11 am. to 1 p.m.
For those still in playoffs for fall sports or starting winter sports, please consider coming by as we would love to see your smiling faces, plus there will be some new concepts we will introduce.
It is a holiday weekend, but we are hoping to make this a light, fun way to run off some of that Thanksgiving pie...
Hope to see you all Saturday!
Happy Thanksgiving,

Mark your Calendars-- Preseason Rugby Clinics!!!
NOVA HS Rugby plans to host a series of clinics before the end of the year and we hope to begin training in mid-January 2016.
The clinics will be designed to help bring new recruits to the club, introduce the game to those new recruits and set returning players on a path to success.
The clinics will be NON-CONTACT, but will include drills and some touch games.
-- The first clinic will be held Thanksgiving weekend -- the date, time and location TBD.
-- We expect to hold the second clinic in early December.
-- We may hold a third clinic in early January.
Currently, the club is seeking sponsors/donors to help pay the field costs for these events.
So, dust off your rugby boots, recruit some friends to join us and get ready to run off that Thanksgiving pie.
Thanks,
Coach Weasel
