VA Xplosion 2005

What a beautiful evening to end our 16U season. We had 2 victories tonight. We also want to say best wishes to Natalie as she moves to Florida. You'll be missed.

The ladies had a great Monday night practice working on long toss, diving for the ball, and batting to close. Getting ready for our next games!

We had a great turnout for today's tryouts. Many positions still open. Check us out- Xplosion 16U and 18U.

We finally got our double header in tonight. What a fun night with Summit Point Pride 16U.

It was like being in an oven today during practice again! With a bunch of water breaks the girls powered through their pitching practice, infield, outfield, and batting!!

VA Xplosion 18u of Northern VA is holding open practices and tryouts this month to complete our fall roster. The team is coached by Courtney Purtell who competed at Concord University as their third basemen, Woodson HS as their third basemen, and played Xplosion travel softball throughout middle and high school. The assistant coach also played college softball for Mary Washington, coached the club team at Mary Wash, played for Centreville HS, and played for Xplosion during middle and high school. We also have an awesome former Xplosion coach assisting these two young women who took several teams to the FL world series! All these great coaches want to give back to the community and are committed to making your athlete better, more confident, and ready for spring of 2022 high school ball, and college ball after that! The team is returning but there are a few players who are not able to continue and we would like to slightly expand our roster creating multiple awesome opportunities, to include a pitcher. After a 1 hour delay, we finally got our scrimmage game in the books. Thank you Arlington Sage.

The ladies got out on the field today! Now that all-districts and states are over we can focus on getting ready for the fall season! Looking forward to seeing the athletes compete on Wednesday.

Xplosion ladies are on fire. Makenzie was also selected for the 2nd All District Team. Go Osbourn Eagles.
