It takes a village.
Parents, check this out - hear this: raising a kid isn’t a solo mission.
We talked about putting pride aside, leaning on your community, and embracing the people your child actually listens to. Because when you find someone who can reach your kid in a way you can’t - you let them in.
That’s not weakness. That’s wisdom. 💯

Real friends don’t just clap for you. They challenge you.
Brian Mitchell said it best: “if someone calls themselves your friend and you’ve NEVER had an uncomfortable conversation with them - they’re not really your friend.”
Man, how true is this!!! The people who push you. Who stress you. Who tell you the hard truth?
Sometimes, they see better in you than you see in yourself.
That’s the same thing that builds a tough, confident athlete. Comfort doesn’t grow you. The hard conversations do. The challenge does. The pressure does.
New episode drops tomorrow.

AboutIt
Parents — don’t be scared to push your athlete.
The hands-off approach isn’t protecting them.
It’s leaving them without the standard they’re actually craving from you.
BMitch’s dad didn’t tip-toe. He figured out what made Brian tick. “3.0 (gpa) or you don’t play.”
Period. That wasn’t pressure - And he KNEW what made me tick, and it worked.
When parents tell me, “Coach, my kid will listen to you but not me” — that use to scare me and felt like a lot of pressure - not having kids of my own. But as Brian stated and I’ve come to realize, the parents just figured out and listened to their kids say something about what I’m doing that works - thus the trust.
Parents, keep listening to your kids. Set the standard. Hold the line. That’s love.
Drop a 🔥 if this is the kind of conversation more
parents need to hear.
Consistency and a willingness to keep learning - ultimately is a key to success and shows what you really WANT - not what you just say!!
Sat down with my guest this week and he dropped something I want every young athlete to hear:
“I didn’t care how big you were, how old you were, how bad you were. If I thought I was gonna beat you, you’d have to WORK to beat me.”
That mindset came from being the youngest in his family — and a dad who had a way of making him believe he was better than he was.
He took it through college. Through the NFL and still carries that same attitude today - as he says, it’s the fabric of who he is today.
THIS is the conversation. This is what builds athletes who don’t fold. 🎙️

Everybody gets 24 hours.
The difference is how you use them.
While some people are making excuses, somebody else is getting stronger.
Somebody else is getting faster.
Somebody else is putting in the reps when nobody’s watching.
That’s the part people forget.
Confidence doesn’t come from talking about the work.
Results don’t come from wanting it more.
They come from the reps you put in consistently.
Your competition is finding time.
They’re training.
They’re recovering.
They’re improving.
So ask yourself:
What are your 24 hours producing?
Because eventually, the work shows.
And so does the lack of it.
The receipts don’t lie. 🧾👇
Are your daily habits backing up your big goals, or are they just a bunch of talk?
It’s easy to say what we want to do, but the real magic happens in the daily moments—the reps, the discipline, and the time you “didn’t have” but found anyway.
Success isn’t about one massive leap; it’s about building a foundation so strong that your habits take over when your motivation fades.
Consistency isn’t a talent; it’s a decision. And the people who decide to show up day after day are the ones who ultimately win.
“𝗧𝗵𝗼𝘀𝗲 𝘄𝗵𝗼 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗺𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗺𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝘀𝘂𝗰𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗳𝘂𝗹.”
What do your receipts look like this week?
You don’t play fearless by accident.
You play fearless because you’ve already been there in training.
When your conditioning is sport-specific — when you’ve pushed yourself past the point of comfortable and survived it — you stop guessing on race day, game day, showcase, tournament, championship game!
You stop holding back at mile 18. You stop negotiating with yourself at mile 23. You stop questioning yourself in the 4th quarter!
You know what you’re capable of. And that knowledge is the difference maker in everything you do.
That’s what we build. That’s the work.

Where does doubt actually come from?
It’s not random. It’s not weakness.
It’s your mind telling you exactly what you didn’t do.
Preparation is truth. And you can’t fake it.
